Works like you’d expect

This is good tape and as others say keep out of very hot weather or the glued side will get gooey. But I suppose all tape is that way. I bought this tape because all the other tape in my tool box in the garage got gooey. Here in Florida garages get really hot when closed up so now I keep the tape in the house. I was surprised when I got the tape because it was wider than a normal tape you would buy - I didn't read the reviews first or I would have realized. But that's OK with me. Colored tape is usually used to color code wires so wide was fine with me. But- as far as tape goes it's fine.

I use this tape to identify like containers with different things in them so the choice of colors is great. But this tape is also strong enough to be used to stop small leaks in water lines and I did use it for an emergency repair of a gas line once. (Don't expect that to last though as the tape held up well but the adhesive dissolved.) Got me home... or thereabouts. I would not recommend leaving these in the trunk of your car as the edges will get sticky after awhile. Keep them in the tool box though.

Despite being stored in an air tight container the tape became brittle after one year and the adhesive weeped from side of the rolls. I have other rolls of 3m vinyl tape stored under similar conditions that are just fine. Upon closer inspection of the cardboard tube I could see the 3M logo wasn't quite right. Amazon should remove this product.

I ordered this tape to mark the floor in my classroom so that the students would know where the desks go (the desks are constantly being scooted by wiggling kiddos). When took the plastic wrap off the individual rolls, there was an awful odor. It had the same smell as I peeled tape to use. The tape started peeling the day after I put it on the floor. The floors may have been dirty (I put the tape down first thing in the morning, so the floor should have been clean, but you never can tell), so I will personally clean the floors and try again. If the tape stays put, I will update my review.

I bought these because I was moving and wanted to code the boxes. A color for the boxes going to the living room, a different color for the bedroom, etc. It really worked well and I didn't have to stand at the front door directing the movers where the boxes all went. I just made up a sign with each color tape and what room it belonged in. Great price and great variety. Will work for whatever project that you have that you need to color code.

I bought this to organize stuff. I used the black on my whiteboard to make areas for each grade level to look for instructions for the day. I marked spots on the carpet for kids to stand during activities with the yellow. I bundle up cords. It is sticky but so far leaves no residue when I had to peel some up and re-apply. One piece reapplied several times without any trouble. Peels easily, sticks well, not wonky edges. It does have a little stretch so I had some trouble lining it up if I pulled too hard, but it isn't so stretchy that it deforms easily in your hands.

I use this tape to mark my climbing gear so it doesn't get mixed up with my friends' gear. Since it's climbing gear that I'm marking, the tape routinely gets scraped against rocks, rubbed by nylon runners that are loaded with body weight, and generally subjected to lots of abuse. So far, it's proved to be more than a match for the task - Most of the tape markings on my gear are holding up surprisingly well.I'd recommend this tape for anyone looking to keep track of their outdoor gear on group trips - it really does work well.

I used this tape to create a border around some student artwork created on larger Kraft paper. It worked well to keep the edges from tearing and it looked nice.

Great for labeling books in my classroom library. Easy to use.

So, the quality is good and all, but I needed 2 inches.
