Perfect fit, easy to install.
Perfect fit for my American Standard toilet. Took about 30 minutes to install. Works great, so far. Original one became coated with hard water deposits and would not seal.

Original factory faulty part
I only used the top green Valve part, the facotry ones are Faulty and leak. I replace many of the rubber seals and the leaking presisted. once I change out the part my leaking problem that I had for years is gone. It's just to bad that you need to purchase the whole thing.

Fits my American Standard
Needed to repair my American Standard. Local hardware store only had a valve from a brand I didn't prefer

I love that it comes with the wrench.
Perfect fit but had a slightly better design from the original. I like chain attachment better too. The top washer platter was broken and caused a slow leak on the original and the new design seems beefier. I also saw where the new part has gallons per flush adjustment. One man easy install. now I can save some water.

Fixed the intermittent running
Works perfect. Did NOT include a wrench type tool, that holds the tank on 2-part models. just FYI.

Initially worked great, leaking at 7 months
The original valve lasted 7 years and never leaked (ghost flush). The stop at the bottom of the shaft holding the cap down broke off.The installation was as easy as any toilet repair. The wrench included was a nice touch. About 6-7 months after the installation we started having a ghost flush, the fill valve started running on its own. At first indeterminately then frequently (10-20 minutes). I replaced the fill valve, that gave me the opportunity to mark the ideal level inside the tank. After putting the toilet back together I could check the water level if the ghost flush returned. The ghost flush returned; the water dropped enough to set off the fill valve. There is no nut holding the top to the axle to allow seal replacement. I tried a temporary solution my father used by coating the seal with Vaseline. That lasted about 2 weeks. Now that the flush valve I ordered is no longer available I wonder if this is a known defect. After more research I find that even the recommended American Standard flush valve for the 4325A tank does not show a nut on the cap in the picture to allow seal replacement. Looking at part alternatives. I am disappointed by this experience. Until last year I was very happy with the Champion 4 two-piece toilet.

American Standard 4 inch valve.
Perfect fit for my toilet. When to large chain home improvement store and was told American Standard did not make a 4 inch toilet. Told them that I actually bought it in this very store. Found on Amazon and was exactly what I needed. Installation was done in minutes.

Great Replacements
I had a leak in the toilet was unable to locate the leak so ended up replacing parts. I tried to just replace the gasket in this flush valve but it continued to leak. So ended up replacing the whole unit and the leak stopped. Got the toilet in 2014 so it's been almost 10 years. Not sure if that is normal for the parts to be replaced at that time, but that's what happened here. I also replaced the gasket between the tank and bowl. Only made sense in that I everything apart and installing the parts was easy.
