This is an ADAPTER
I'm new to computer mods, I didn't realize this does not come with an actual wifi card. It's only an adapter to update wifi and bluetooth currently installed. Unfortunately I didn't have an original wifi card.. I ordered another wifi card on amazon, got it installed with this adapter and it works decently. Install was not simple. Bluetooth functionality is very shotty. Barely works at all. I wish I went with an external USB antenna plug in rather than using this internal one.

Works to get 802.11ac Wi-Fi on Mac Pro 5,1. Needs some patience to get theit assembled with Wi-Fi card and make sureit working.

Expensive, but the cleanest way to upgrade your cMP to Bluetooth 4.0
I balked at paying $80+ for this adapter card for my 2010 cMP when the generic $15 chinese adapter worked just fine on my 2008 cMP. But after realizing that the USB power cable that comes with those generic adapters doesn't fit the 4-pin connection on the cMP mobo next to the bluetooth module, and having to buy a $20 PCIe USB card with an internal USB header to get USB power to the generic adapter, I realized that this osxwifi custom kit is the cleanest way to perform this upgrade. It even mounts the BCM94360CD upside down so the antenna connectors are easier to attach.I can spare the PCIe slot for now, but when the time comes that I need to reclaim it, I will probably just buy this.

Apple Watch connection is suspect
Purchased for the Bluetooth 4.0. Bluetooth works to an extent. Apple watch unlock isn't working. I've tried all of the troubleshooting and no success.
