Compact & ideal for small spaces
Found this worked really well in places where larger ones were awkward/impossible to use. Handy to have around & easy to use

It's okay
It's a cheap Chinese torch, so half the gas goes everywhere when filling, the rubber grip leaves your hand absolutely stinking like a bike tyre. However it does the job of toasting off my creme brulee so it will do for now.

Deadly dangerous
The lock mechanism does not function. It lights when 'locked' There are no instructions, although beautifully packaged. The dual flame choice does not work, and the stand does not fit tight enough to support the torch standing.

Good for the price but slowly self distructed but cheap and lasted 2yrs - on balance no complaints
Had one for about 2 years. A couple bits fell of when I first got it, but that did not prevent it working. It is a nice size and has the handy collar to adjust the heat as well as having a volume control in the base (one of the bits that fell off). So it is very adjustable. One shame is that it lacks a safely lock, I thought the switch on the side was for just that (from the picture), but that switch does the exact opposite, locks it ON! not off. On many occasions I knock that too so it won't turn off. So I was always a little wary of where it is packed if travelling. It was always reliable, though when I first got it, sometimes it just would not light. Then I realised that it won't light if the collar is fully closed as there is too little air being pulled in. That collar is a little too easy to accidentally turn and has no mark so it is not easy to see what position it is in, all it does is open/close up a little hole in the barrel, to allow more or less air in. Since then, no problems as I know to check it.More recently, in the last month or two, it got harder and harder to light to the point it will not start at all. Been using one of the other, broken ones that won't hold gas but has a strong spark. On this one the spark is almost non-existent. So the time has come to replace it. I can't complain as at the circa £9 price, and considering it has outlasted others I have had by at least a year. For that reason I think a score of 3 is reasonable. Middle of the road. Not great due to being cheaply made though not bad either, for the same reason. If you want something you won't be too disappointed in when it finally packs up this is for you. I am considering buying another as it's a nice size, weight and feel, but will look before leaping at one that might at least make it to 4 AND has the missing safety lock, (rather than the 'extra danger lock' - though some may consider that a feature)

Not as good quality as I thought
Concern about getting too hot and melt, as well as flame regulator not working very well. Electric cable tube shrinking for rc boat and planes
