Web Design - Start Here: A No-Nonsense, Jargon Free Guide to the Fundamentals of Web Design Paperback – July 21, 2015

Had a few marks on the cover, but it was to be expected from a book that came from a library. It was completely readable on the inside.

I follow the author on YouTube, and I have taken online coding classes with him. This book is straightforward and easy to navigate. The explanations are to the point and clear.

Its a good overview for developer. Handbook for fast search.

I was originally i the print design program and I am now switching to the web design program. I am using this book as refresher because the print program has only one coding class.I love this book so far and would love to rate it 5 stars but I can't. I am at chapter 4 in the book and I cannot find the source files he mentions that are the site his lists on page 7 of the book. I even used the sites search bar by typing source files. Nothing comes up. If someone could please point me in the right direction I would gladly change my reveiw to 5 stars.

It's also a great tool to get those who already know the basics up to current standards. Stefan Mischook focuses on essential parts and only provides the background details that actually matter. No time wasted dissecting frogs, this book takes you directly to the meat of webdesign. The cover says 'A no-Nonsence, Jargon-Free Guide to the Fundamentals of Web Design" and that is exactly what this book delivers.

Highly recommended for anyone who really want to start the process of programming languages and web design in general. Very well put together and I'd also highly recommend the video courses from his website to pair it with the book.

An amazing book that can explain the ins and outs of the different code languages required for creating wonder website that is easy to navigate. Teaches you how to find errors in the code causing issues on your site. Well worth every penny.

This book was extremely helpful for me. I had no experience whatsoever when I began to create my website. This book took me step by step through it, and answered many questions I had along the way. It was is very easy to understand. It is a very valuable book for anyone who is attempting to create a website!

Hier wird man von Beginn an gut an der Hand genommen. Basiswissen lernt man durch dieses Buch, hier ist alles erklärt sodass man nicht an vorausgesetzten Details verzweifeln kann.Lernkurve sehr gut, wobei sich aktiv Code schreiben mit Theoriebackground gut abwechselt. Gute motivierende Einwürfe, gewürzt mit feinem Humor.Ich bin hier mit guten Fähigkeiten ausgestiegen. Und auch für das danach sorgt Stef in seinem Buch, auf Webpages oder auf YT.

This book is a really good introduction to recent developments such as HTML5 for ageing folks like me who have been writing sites in old and increasingly disfunctional old ways since the end of the last century. And I do like a book with downloadable source code.It would also be great for any newcomer.

Highly recommended! I found it an easy and enjoyable read that got right to the point of what I needed to get started on building my website. If you're new to web design, 'Web Design Start Here' by Stefan Mischook IS the place to start! I normally find this type of material pretty dry, but the book is engaging with great visuals and humor. There are also a lot of good little tips and tricks that help move things along. If you're thinking about it, just pick it up, you'll be happy you did!

It's a good book for someone who is not familiar with web design.I like the author of this book.
