Cute clock. Reminds me of Grandma’s bedroom clock.
I like this little clock. It as an audible tick. My daughters noticed is twice as fast as their clock. Wind up keys for alarm and time separate. Setting knobs for alarm and time are also separate. And there is an adjustment function for accuracy…. Mine was a little fast, initially, and just moved it over a smidge and that fixed it. I think mine was pre wound a little tight. Instructions say to carefully wind to line up with box slits to remove- which I did, and it was tight. I set and started clock and after bout 3 hours- it stopped. A tap on the top started it back up. I positioned it on my dresser to stand alone better, afraid a key may have caught. 14 hours more- I heard it stop, woke me- I tapped again and wound it- still felt tight. Started again. It stopped again after a number of hours! The clock is easy to read, the alarm functions well, it is easy to grasp in one hand. I hope this is a fluke- I am exchanging for the same product and will take great care removing it, I may just let the keys wind down to line up with the slits on the package to remove. The box states a 2 year limited warranty- at Equity out of LaCrosse, WI. I’m sure they would fix it, but exchanging through Amazon is likely faster for me. If the next model doesn’t work as expected, I will adjust my review- but, if it does work, this is a good little wind up clock and I would recommend. * the knobs have arrows to turn for adjustment. Follow the arrows. Even if the hands will adjust in either direction, the gears are designed to all move in tandem in one direction- so for longevity, you should always adjust “forward”. Even in the fall 😉.

Do not buy this alarm clock
Bad quality materiua and it is not realiable as 15 minutes after winding up it stars to slow and it is five minutes late, after 6 hours it is 10 minutes late !!! A PIECE OF GABAGE.

Worth every penny spent!
This little wind-up clock is great! We bought it in case the power goes out so we never miss letting our chickens out on time and it has been very effective! We live in a very remote location and never know when or for how long the power might go out during any time of year, so this was a must have for us. It is very easy to operate, and the ringer is definitely loud enough to wake even the most sound sleeper. You just have to remember to wind and set it each night before bed. Worth every penny spent!

Just bought it for the ticking sound…
So if you’re just looking for an old fashion like clock that ticks and is a wind up this is it. It does not keep great time though, it’s always ahead no matter how you try to adjust it and the alarm is crazy loud so I put tape over the little holes. Its not something I would rely on daily to get up in the morning. Looked around for a ticking clock and it seems most of them now are quiet which is kind of weird. It’s hard to find a ticking clock that actually winds up and has bells on top too ..we couldn’t find one so settled for this.

It ticks!
Have just opened the box, set the time and wound up the clock. It's great! There's been ticking clocks in my family for generations. They soothe kids, adults, and animals. This one is larger but can be seen from across the room. The design is simple and will go with various décor. We'd like to see other models; when we run out of batteries and the power's off, the ticking clocks are reliable. Recommended. UPDATE: Am sorry to say that this wonderful ticking clock does not keep good time. I have to actually touch it before I'll hear ticking again and the 'second' hand moves. Am very sad. This was placed in a room we don't go in often, but a clock is needed. I'd like to think the clock sent us is an exception.

Old School Timekeeping
*6 mo review is 1 star! I didn't expect a lot for the price but at least 1 yr minimum. Last couple of weeks it would jump time by 15-20 min when it wanted to over a 24hr period. Then it started stopping intermittently. Last night it would run for 10 min then stops. Internals are what I expected and even winding at this point only gives a few ticks. The binding is somewhere in the gear train. The fork and wheel hairspring and balance wheel move freely and are not bound up. Just the gears. No plans to lube or try to fix. Just FYI for others. For the price, no complaints. It took a few days to a week to settle in as far as time and me getting the adjustment good enough. I figured it needed that long anyway to exercise the spring. Lume is underwhelming, but I expected that. The tick is apparent and not obnoxious to me that is actually what I wanted. Winding was quite stiff at first but again after the first week or so it loosened up. Seniors may have issues if they do not have hand strength. It's not tuff but would be difficult for someone with arthritis. You could always make a winder extension so it's easier to grab and turn. Video attached to hear the alarm sound.

First time I wound up the time 10 rotations, but it got stiffer after about 5, and now whenever I try to wind it up it is immediately stiff and only does about 5 rotations, so I think it gets stuck on the 5th rotation, I should have only wound it up 5 rotations for the first time, as I seem to have over-wound it, which I think I remember is not good for these wind-up clocks. They should have put a warning message about this. This is the only wind-up clock available and I really need one. I might try to get a little spanner to take it apart and try and fix it, or perhaps buy another one or get this replaced.
