Worth it!
My son is 17 and got this for a bday gift. He really enjoys it and has it next to his monitor. The only thing is it's susceptible to fingerprints, so I put them all over it just to bug him. It does come with it's own cloth to wipe it down.

Science is Cool
Bought this as a gift for one of my adult friends who is into planetary and lunar science. He absolutely loves it. He loves the colors, the way it lights up. Everything!

Great quality
Took my grandson to the space museum. Ordered this for him for a gift. It’s great quality and looks very nice. Can push for several colors. Can use as a night light if you wanted to. Really thought it was a great gift and would order again

Very Cheap Look and Feel
The images greatly misrepresent it. It looks and feels very cheap and I actually laughed when I first turned it on. You can clearly see where the resin cuts the ball in half to hold the planets. Planets look like cheap plastic balls. I wouldn't even pay $5 for this.

For the reviews saying there's random black dots around the planets (like it's a defect), my son told me those represent the planet's moons....which I think is a neat detail. The globe is smaller than I anticipated but is made of heavy glass and looks high quality. The base lights the globe in a really cool way, and I like that it can use 3 AAA batteries instead of having a cord hang off the shelf (cord does come included if you wish to use that option). My science obsessed kid really loves this little globe, and has it next to his James Webb Telescope pictures. Would recommend!
