Very easy to use, battery lasts well
Worked perfectly on the trip i bought it for (Japan). Just bought a country data pack before I left, turned it on at arrival and was up and running.Data saving tip - I disabled auto app updates over wifi on my device beforehand, also make sure you set the wifi connection as metered (so it will choose a non metered in preference e.g. the hotel wifi once set up). These are the main reasons i can think of where people have said data gets used so quickly. Because its a wifi connection, your phone will do things that it normally would not do via 4g so disabling that will stop potentially many GB being used without you realising.I was cautious at first in how much i used it (from other reviews). But its clear how much data is left using the app or the device IP in a browser, so was able to start using it much more like I do normally, and i found it lasted well (just don't do a lot of social media video as that will eat it quick, some use was fine).Battery lasted really well, it was on 14+ hours some days and was still working at end.As others have said, data costs are fairly expensive (but clear, check their website for where you want to use it), some countries more so than others, but its very convenient and hopefully data comes down.

The installation was straightforward
I used it during my camping trip in highlands where had really poor signal. This wifi hotspot saved my life and I was able to reply to some important emails when traveling. The installation was straightforward simply scan and download in your phone. Then create a new account and you can monitor data in the app

Good for places where no signal from usual Network
Bought it to have mobile wifi in North Wales where usual network signals are weak. Also running out of mobile data (expensive top up) as there was no wifi at our stay. So far working well. Compact, portable even in ladies small hand bad, light , good signal. Data top up cheaper than O2 I am with.

Absolute rip off as far as I'm concerned
What a waste of money. The packages are really really expensive and not flexible at all. Also, bought one which was for 1Gb for 12 months for emergency user when we don't have data on the campervan. It is now expired supposedly that we used the full GB .... there is no way we can have used it. Also, when we did try it, although it's meant to find the best data signal, it was poor at that ... my phone got a better signal. All in all very unimpressed and my suggestion is don't buy!!

Handy little travel buddy for staying connected
I took the GlocalMe UPP 4G Mobile WiFi Hotspot with me on a recent trip through Europe, and it honestly made things so much easier. No SIM swapping, no searching for local data plans—just turned it on, connected my phone, and I was online within minutes. The fact that it works in over 200 countries is a huge plus, and the included 1GB of global data was enough to get me started. It’s super light (barely noticed it in my bag), and the battery lasted me the whole day with moderate use. I used it mostly for Google Maps, emails, and keeping in touch with family, and the connection was surprisingly stable. If you're someone who travels often and hates dealing with roaming fees or unreliable hotel WiFi, this is a solid, stress-free option.

Not really what I wanted or expected.
I wanted to get Wi-Fi at my mom’s so she could shop on line. She is at home now, so we tried and this item is not as easy as I expected. You need to log into an app, (with no Wi-Fi) so I tried at my home and it wouldn’t so, I packed it back in the box and we just make a list of shopping the old fashioned way. It does look very smart and it charged up quickly. But I presume I’m going to pay to use it now I’ve bought it. Not what I really wanted.

Great Bit Of Kit
I’m currently recovering in hospital from an injury. The Wi-Fi is awful! I’m amazed what a difference this box of tricks has made. Even in an area where the mobile signal is appalling this device provides a strong reliable signal. It supports 4g and is surprisingly fast. It doesn’t require a SIM card, although you can use one if you so desire. Otherwise, it uses a “ cloud sim” to connect to the strongest signal in the area. There is a simple to use app to connect the device to your smartphone, laptop or iPad. Once you’ve downloaded the app, create an account & choose a data bundle. The device will last for a good 12 hours when fully charged. I would consider buying a separate solar powered battery bank if you want to are going to use this while camping etc.

Will no longer power up
Bought in Dec '22 and used no problem on 3 long haul trios and worked perfectly well with good battery life and very simple to use.Just taken out the box ready for the next trip and the device will not receive any charge and therefore not power up and become available.I've tried the Golocalme advice on 48 hr charge but still no use.If you are thinking of purchasing one of these, look at other similar options or take out the protection plan.e
