If you do your own extensions, you need these
I think these microlinks hold pretty well. The metal is pretty sturdy and smooth, and the silicone ring inside has enough grip to hold onto your hair. That's really saying something for me, since I have SUPER-SMOOTh, glossy hair strands, and it is usually a nightmare for me to use microlinks, because they start sliding down immediately.Microlinks are not my favorite way of having extensions done, but they're the easiest way to do them myself. The best way is to have them sewn in with elastic thread---it's super-fast, and they stay in come hell or high water until you want to take them out. Then snip-snip on the elastic and they're gone! Unfortunately, I can't find anyone to sew them in for me where I live (it's just not popular here in San Francisco) so microlinks are what I have to use on myself.I would have no problem repurchasing these in the future---they seem good, and they come in a handy jar which you can open one-handed if need be. (Much better than a ziplock baggie, which requires 2 hands....)

This was really fun while stuck at home during covid19
This was a great kit! I don’t have any experience and this was easy enough for me to do. I put a bunch of the glitter and “feathers” (which are just like colored striped hair not really feathers) in my hair for quarantine fun.My suggestions is to put 3-10 strands of glitter (you could do more for a dramatic look) or one feather in each micro bead. Make sure there is about an inch of hair that will fall over it because they microbeads will show if there isn’t enough falling over it.For the glitter strands I fed them through first then tied a loose not to keep them in place. I then fed the hair through and clamped the bead tight. Then I untied the glitter and trimmed it to my hair length. I found this to be the easiest way to not have the glitter get pulled out or knotted while feeding the hair through. Having someone help you would also probably be a good idea if hair isn’t really your thing.
