The Power of Prayer to Change Your Marriage

I have always loved books by Stormie but this one I feel like has held me down for over the last week. My husband left me without any notification and I have been struggling with trying to figure out why. Only to realize that it wasn’t just the enemy telling him lies in his mind but mine as well. We were living in two separate books, on the same chapter but different books. No he isn’t back yet but I’m staying prayerful, fasting and continuing to read this book over and over. I have so much hope in my marriage! I realized that I could use a Renewed heart more than anything. I came from a place of singleness depending just on me. I have never had someone to love me so much like he does. Well except God.. and I’ve never had anything to really love. Last week was so emotionally that I focused only on him, until God showed me where I needed to work on me if I wanted my marriage to work. We have only been married 7 months and I’m like “ok God you haven brought me 7 months to say goodbye”. So I’m fighting with the full armor of God and trusting that he will restore and renew! Oh I will get my husband back and he will have a renewed mind and a renewed wife and life. It has been rough and the tears won’t stop but let me tell you, I can’t wait to share the success story of what God does with our marriage! #FullerFaith

I love this book. I have been praying the prayers from Stormie’s books for years. They are powerful and give me great hope when there seems to be no hope in me. I have prayed some of these prayers in hopes for great miracles, but not sure if what I am praying for would really happen, because it seemed to have to be a miracle if it were to happen. They did happen and our Mighty and loving God heard my prayers and overwhelmed me in answering them. We all have hopeless times, but knowing God answers, our hopelessness can become less. Always pray fervently. God hears us and answers according to His Will and what is best for us.

I love stormie omartian prayer books. This was my 4th book by her. I prefer the other three (Power of a praying wife, Power of a praying parent, and Just Enough Light for the Step Im on). Many of the prayers in this book didn't match the unique issues i face in my marriage, but i do think the "average" marriage matches these prayers from what i hear other wives saying. Either way, ANY prayer book is a great place to start!! For best results, speak these prayers out loud!!

Great book! Stormie provides great prayers in the book backed by scripture and if you are going through a hard time in your marriage or if it seems hopeless this will give you hope again. Its God’s will for your marriage to prosper and prayer is a powerful resource.

Thank you Stormy O for guiding us to pray with the powerful eternal Word of God in all of your wonderful writings. This is yet another great book for every married person who will dare to pray according to the Word of God for transforming healthy relationships. No matter how great or difficult our circumstances or relationships are, just knowing and believing in the Lord's will through prayers of faith can ensure the strength and courage needed to daily choose to honor God, others and ourselves. I will continue to use these Biblical prayer guides and encourage everyone to let go of your relational limits and struggles and hold onto the eternal promises of God's love, grace strength and beauty experienced through communion with him in agreement with his will.

This book goes much deeper than "Power of a Praying Wife." Stormie has covered a lot of tough issues that can really harm a serious dating relationship or marriage. Yet although she takes a hard look, she provides hope through scripture and focused prayers. Each chapter has prayers for the relationship, and prayers for each person. As in "Power of a Praying Wife," she encourages the reader to look at themselves, to ask God to search their heart and point out areas that may not what God desires. There are many helpful lists of excellent scriptures. She also addresses those situations and times when you have lost all hope -- again, providing very helpful scriptures that can lift a reader's eyes off the mess and onto God's power. I have bought this book for many other women and encouraged them to pray these prayers. I do believe God is at work even in those situations that appear to be unchanged or unimproved.

I got this book because I love the power of the praying wife book. My husband and I are currently separated but I'm praying like crazy, I found this book and knew I needed to order it. Stormys prayers are just so amazing and powerful. I love this book but the reason I gave it 4 stars is because I was expecting it to be set up basically like the power of the prayer wife book. This has really short prayers and a verse. I was also kinda surprised by how small the book is in size, not a bad thing I just didn't expect it. All in all another powerful prayer book to add to anyone's collection

i ordered this book on my kindle because i am impatient. I was suggested this book of prayers as a way for my husband and i to start praying together daily. We have a great prayer life with our children, and alone as separate individuals. I love the kindle version, i can keep notes and highlight in it without messing up the pages. And the fact that i will always have this book on hand is nice. We have been using it for a few days now, and I really love the prayers.I am excited to get through them all. As everyone i know who has used this to start a prayer life with their spouse has said it has really changed their life!

I am a fan of Stormie Omartian's books on prayer. This one did not disappoint. Short, to-the-point prayers, on a variety of topics within marriage, spoken honestly and backed up with scripture. I would thoroughly recommend this book.

I have found this book very useful and helps me to pray in a way which acknowledges my flaws and to focus on developing a better marriage. It is divided into sections on marriage topics which I found very useful

Man oh man! It fits in your back pocket. I take on prayer walks. The prayers are not all inclusive but they stir a passion and the Holy Spirit is haappy
