CHIMANGO Chili Mango Slices (24 oz)

The last couple weeks I’ve been on the hunt for chili mangoes since Walmart quit selling the paletas I like and after all the mangoes I could find and buy online, these are the ones for me you guys nailed it, not to sweet and not too spicy great product.

The taste of this item grew on me after a while. Made 3-4 purchases so far. However, I cannot speak for everyone. Not everyone will share the same experiences. It's natural that not everyone will share the same preferences in food taste. From my experiences so far, what I can say is that the chili taste overwhelm the mango taste unless you bite into a thick piece. Smaller pieces will results in mostly chili and sugar with little taste of mango. I have no qualm with this but many will and may get disappointed if they seek a greater mango taste. Other than that, price-wise it is pretty fair.

Yummy! Taste good! Highly recommended if you guys like some sweet and sour taste.

First of all, I love, love, love chili mango and anything chamoy flavored as well as Mexican candy. These are the most vile and disgusting chili mangoes I have ever encountered in my decades of eating chili mango. I am completely amazed by all the people on here giving this nasty chili mango anything above a 1 star rating. And a part of me is heart-broken because they have not yet tasted what a good chili mango is supposed to taste like. I was at least expecting something on par with Trader Joe's chili mango. I am angry that this chili mango even exists. So much so that I contacted Amazon, talked to someone and got a refund because I could not get one using the usual method. Just say no to these.TLDR: Don't do it. Walk-- no run away from these.

The Good: SEASONING! The seasoning is great. I licked the seasoning off and threw away the flesh. This package came very quickly, it was next day shipping and arrived on time! The package is heavy, you get a lot of quantity for the price. The product looks just like the photos. Everything seemed amazing until I bit into the mango!The Bad: These are not -just- dehydrated & seasoned! They are probably soaked in a bath of syrup after the drying process. So they have a thick, soft and chewy consistency (good texture) BUT it tastes like pure corn syrup with little mango flavor bc of all the sugar. The bag does say sweetened (I missed that part) and that's exactly what you recieve.

Product is fresh and appears to be well made. I had never had this type of food before and it sounded like a winner. I love hot spicy food and love dried mangoes, so what could go wrong? I didn't like it; that's what went wrong. This is not the fault of the company, just my personal taste. And it is so obviously well-made that even though the product didn't appeal to my tastes, I am still giving it a 5-star review. The mango slices are dry on outside yet soft and chewy on the inside.If you know from experience that you like this sort of thing, go get a bag.

Was very excited to see these on Amazon, as I crave chili mango slices but cannot find them at my local grocers often. I love both Trader Joe's and Lucky's chili mango slices, but don't live near either store. Was expecting and looking forward to that same taste. However I am disappointed by Chimango's version. The upfront taste is pretty good -decent balance of sweet and slighly spicy. The midway/after taste is what's really bothering me. I can't quite describe it but it's not good. Will no be buying again. Will not even be finishing this bag.
