Worked great and was a quick setup
The key was programmed quickly on my 2015 Ford Expedition, but the FOB buttons required the alternate method found online; you must have at least two working keys. Saved at least $200.

Excellent fitment
I had a key that kept falling apart so I purchased this shell only key. Had it cut and took the circuit board and battery clip out of the broken one and put it in the new shell .. perfection 😜

Not easy to do
I really only wanted to replace the rubber part that has the lock, unlock, panic and trunk push pads. I figured I could just replace the rubber inside the original key. Unfortunately taking the original key apart turned into a nightmare and it was severely buggered up as I struggled to open it. Be forewarned. The original key may not open easily. I ended up using the new key exactly as it was described by transferring all the internal parts from the original to the replacement. Luckily all the parts worked and my 2012 mustang responds exactly as it should when a button is pressed. I'll need to find a store that can cut the key correctly now. Since the original case was no longer usable I used the Dremel tool and cut out the mustang horse and then glued it to the blank spot on the replacement case. Looks just like a factory supplied key now. Not an easily done job so there you have it. Further review: Lowe's could not "cut" the key. Probably because they don't sell "chipped" keys. I took the blank key to Ace Hardware and for the magnificent sum of ONE whole dollar the young man cut the blank key perfectly. All works to expectations now. Thank you Ace Hardware !

Good quality for what it is.
For what it is, it is made of good quality materials. I was looking to save a few bucks and take this apart and replace it with the “guts” of an existing key that still functions 100% but the case broke (to avoid paying hundreds on a locksmith or dealer replacement). Unfortunately, this item WILL NOT WORK if that’s what you’re planning on doing with it.I was able to return it and was 100% satisfied with the seller and the return process.
