Cute, but Somewhat Fragile Knock Off Mini Building Block Set
The Lumsburry Flower Bouquet Building Block Set is a fun alternative to brand-named building block sets. The bricks are slightly smaller than standard Lego bricks - they are definitely not Nanoblok-sized. Assembly is fairly straightforward, although the instructions weren't quite as clear or easy to follow as other sets I've tried simply because the pieces were not separated by bag. Instead, the pieces were all haphazardly divided into multiple bags, and to make assembly much easier, it helps to organize all the pieces by shape and color prior to starting the project. Just because the bags are numbered doesn't mean that the piece you need is in the sequentially ordered bag. Additionally, the colors and some of the pieces noted in the instruction manual were occasionally difficult to differentiate from one another. I had a couple of instances where I had to go back and remove a single piece from an almost completely assembled flower because the color in the book wasn't quite right.As far as pieces clicking together securely, a majority of pieces did stick together very securely, although the flowers still felt a bit fragile assembly, particularly the small white balled flower and several of the sunflower petals. While I don't think they would fall apart on their own, some of the pieces don't feel quite as securely attached as brand-named sets. I haven't had any issues with random pieces popping off or flowers falling apart while moving them around, though. Overall, if you're looking to get some building block flowers but don't want to spend four times as much for a brand-name set, this is a really good option to consider. It's small, cute, and attractive, and is a great value for a generic building block set. It may not be perfect, but it's still a very nice set that I would purchase again.
