Chalk paint is super easy to work with
I refinished an old 90's oak side table in my living room to give it a new look with this chalk paint. I chose chalk paint because it is notoriously easy to work with, covers well, and is durable. The serene blue color was just beautiful, and a slightly unusual color for a wood piece. Yet it matched my living room decor perfectly. The paint is thick, thicker than latex or other paints you might be more familiar with. However, it goes on well and covers completely in just a coat or two. Best of all, there's no need for sanding first! I admit, it did scuff sand a little bit first, just to assure good adhesion, but this wasn't necessary according to the package directions. Once cured, the paint is very durable with a completely matte finish that easy to sand off if you want a more distressed look to your piece. For extra durability, you might consider covering with a polycrylic or wax. I used less than half of my quart-sized can for this table. Since chalk paint is so easy to work with, I am thinking about what else I can cover with my leftover paint!

Amazing quality!!!
Honestly, I saw another person’s review stating that they finished a table and chairs with one can, and I didn’t believe it. I bought two cans to be sure, but I should have listened to the reviewer! I turned an almost-black table and chairs white with one can, and I still have some left! Because of the polar opposite color change, I did have to use three coats. Didn’t bother me, though - the results are gorgeous! I can’t wait to use my other can for arts and crafts.

Beautiful
This paint color was absolutely beautiful!!!! It dried really fast, and was exactly the color I was looking for! The finish honestly felt so nice and smooth (not like some other matte paint I have tried in the past), and I even thought about not adding the topcoat of lacquer.

Great product but not so great delivery
This chalked paint is the best thing to use when painting furniture (in my opinion). It is a very forgiving paint as the brushstrokes will vanish once it dries. It also leaves a lovely matte finish and you only need to do 2 coats max. I have used it to paint wood, bamboo, and metal, and I have always had good results. I find that a little paint goes a long way, and you can do multiple projects with one can. From two cans I was able to paint this large mirror, a TV console, and also a bamboo chair. I think the tate green is a stunning colour that suits many interior styles. I have also used the pink chalked paint and it was so lovely as well. This is a great product for furniture painting beginners and lazy painters (speaking from experience lols). Some things I have learnt from using this paint:- Use a paintbrush rather than a roller.- You don't have to do a lot of priming.- Seal the paint or risk the paint scratching off or absorbing water.Unfortunately, the paint had exploded at some point in the post! It didn't bother me too much as it was sealed in a plastic bag. I had to carefully remove it and clean it but there was still plenty left in the can.

Goes On with a very noticeable hint of Blue. . .But dries to a BEAUTIFUL true white!
I was surprised I didn't read about this in any of the reviews. I have been Chalkpainting for years, and usually use Annie Sloan or Renaissance Chalk paint. However, I was doing kitchen plank wood counters and was a little apprehensive about the durability of Annie Sloan or Renaissance for high traffic counters.I have used Rustoleum products in my home, for my front door and love their paints, so I decided to try this for next day shipping and reading it is a truly true white. If you chalk paint, you know finding a "true white" can be challenging to say the least. However, I read through the reviews and noticed the constant mentions of true white, and this is what I wanted. Not many people have "white wood kitchen counters", but I saw them in my head and knew this is what I needed. The boards were already sanded and made into counters, so I had my contractor lay them down on top of the cabinets and I opted to paint right in the kitchen. Like I said, I have been chalk painting for YEARS, and knew I wouldn't make a mess. When I started to lay the paint, I noticed it was not white and had a very noticeable hint of blue, like the paint was tinted. I thought perhaps I didn't wash my brush properly last time, and grabbed another brush, but same thing! I panicked when I saw this, and grabbed a flat paint I had in my basement. I ended up using the flat white paint on one counter, just because I was in fear of the blue. . . But this paint dried completely white, and it is such an AMAZING white! I was stunned at how true this white was! I will be going over the other counter tomorrow with this paint, because it does dry white. I wonder if I was the only one who noticed this. I can't imagine I was, but was STUNNED no one mentioned this.I have been in the process of a whole entire home remodel, and I am just in love with the counters! I think they look amazing! I will not be using wax, as I will do several coats of water-based poly with a light sanding in between coats. They really do look amazing! I didn't think this would hold a candle to Annie Sloan or Renaissance, but I am happy to report it does. I am just in love with this chalk paint!Island isn't done yet, and it will be plank wood but stained, to match the shelves, but the counters look amazing!

This color is hard to find at my local hardware stores so I have ordered it several times on Amazon. You can't go wrong with this paint! I have painted several pieces of furniture with it and it comes out perfect! Easy clean up, no smell and paints with ease. I love it!

Covers beautifully and lasts
I refurbed two pieces with this paint and it still looks lovely years later. I adore the intensity of the colour and it was very easy to use for maximum coverage.

Love this paint and colour
Beautiful and easy to use paint. Great paint to use on furniture pieces. The colour is also very universal- a nice crisp white. I like to add a flat coat of polyurethane on top of it. The combination of the two colours creates a beautiful white with a slightly vintage look to it.
