My favorite coloring books.
Love the color by numbers because I don't have to put in the extra thought about what colors to use and when. I also enjoy the spiral binding that eliminates annoying folding of other pages. I do put a sheet or two between the pages I'm coloring and the next page to prevent bleeding, but the pages are fairly thick and one-sided, which is nice when using markers.

Fun for everyone
I bought this as a Christmas gift to go with a huge marker set I bought my daughter. Me, my husband, and grandparents have all colored with her using this book and it’s really fun and soothing. If I had time I would definitely do this on my own to relax. I’ve already got several more of these in my cart for later.

Wonderful for beginners
I really enjoy this coloring book. This is the first coloring book that I bought. I’m not a creative person so I thought a norma coloring book would just stress me out to have to pick the perfect colors to go in the perfect spot but this book is great. There’s a key in the back that shows you what the filled in pictures are supposed to look like. Only about 27 pages to color total. Some of the pages have spots already filled in because they were too small to don’t a number inside of them. The reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars is that the colors that they wanted me to use looked a little dingy or sometimes too dark for the picture so I would go with a brighter color all together. The pages are perforated which is great if you want to pull a page out to draw or to hang.

Great first step into causual coloring to build color-picking skills
I recently did a really complicated color by number poster with colored pencils and realized I enjoyed using those more than markers. I brought a number of cool-looking coloring books and came up short. I had no idea what colors to use. (Probably shouldn't have bought a set of 150 pencils to start with.)Since I enjoyed the poster I'd done, I bought some other color by number books next, including this one. Two others have really cool designs but you have to work with 15-20 different colors, which is a lot to handle at once. This book has 4-6 color recommendations at the bottom of each page. At first I thought that was too limited but once I tried a couple I decided it was a good way to ramp up my skills. It does fill in a few bits of the recommended colors on some drawings (but not all). I could live without that.Once I got more comfortable, I started choosing different colors completely or livening up the variety with different shades of the recommended colors. I've really enjoyed how a number of these turned out.I'd say I enjoyed coloring about half the pages in this book. I'm not really into animals or industrial designs. And some just had such wide areas for one color (like a watering can) that I preferred not to use half of one of my pencils coloring it in.I just ordered the two other books in the series. The Green one is great but I'm less impressed by the Yellow one. I'll review those separately.

Pictures are kind of large not a lot of detail
I like this book I like color by number but the pictures are almost too large. There’s not a lot of detail I like real and different stuff where I can you know almost used dots of color to put everything together on the page where is my neighbor has very poor vision and this would be exceptional for her so I’ll probably gift it to her the next time I head next-door, which will be later this evening or tomorrow but anyway, it is a nice book because it’s spiral bound so you’re not trying to hold the book open or anything and you can actually sit flat on whatever surface you’re on, so I think she’ll really like it

They pre-color some of the areas
I should have read the description. It's right in there but it's a coloring book, I thought i knew how those worked. I really don't like that they pre-color some small areas. This is supposed to be stress-free and now I'm stressed that I'll never match those colors, lol. All else is lovely. What a dumb idea to pre-color some.

Coloring is life
Love to color and I have a very difficult time holding my attention to color detail. I’m never sure on what color to use next, shading etc so that is what I love about the color by number books. It relaxes me and doesn’t give me the added stress of what should I use next. The pages are thicker so I like to still use a good plain white cardstock sheet between pages to soak any excess ink that may bleed through. I normally only color with sharpies, gel pens or colored pencils. I prefer to use gel pens on these specific coloring books.
