A sharpener that sharpens a lawn mower blade
I'm using this with the blade on my mower. It's a little tricky to get the blade in the sharpener's groove like this but when you do about 4-6 passes will have your blade feeling like a razor blade. I usually sharpen my blade before I mow and sometimes once again when I start the back half of the yard. This does the job and supposedly you can sharpen other stuff too. Get one.

Not very easy to use
Vague directions for using this sharpening tool was shown on reverse of packaging. It is not possible to extend the sharpener the full length of the curved blade of our hand clippers.

Decent Knife Sharpener but Directions are Not Descriptive Enough
This is a decent knife sharpener that is easy to store. It weighs only 2.25-ounces, and is 6.5-inches long, 3-inches tall, and 1-inches thick. It’s light enough to throw in a pack and take camping or to keep in a bug-out bag or get-home-bag.Pros:- Easy to use with three slots: one slot for knives and axes, a slot for pruners and mower blades, and a slot for scissors.- It works well once you figure out how to use it, but it doesn’t appear it will have any longevity.- Made in the USA.Cons:- The instructions, which are printed on the back of the packaging, are somewhat lacking and not descriptive enough. It instructs in ways like ‘position carbide insert marked “-“ against the beveled edge’… but if you don’t know what the carbide insert is, you will have difficulty. I also never found anything marked with “-“.- I do not know how to access the sharpening stones to clean them of metal shavings. Removing the Phillips screws doesn’t seem to loosen anything.- More direction could have been given for getting the correct angle to sharpen a scissor blade.I do have a very nice and expensive sharpener with long rods that can be cleaned, but I don’t always want to break out that complicated system for a quick sharpening, and I ordered this to keep in my garage specifically for quick and easy sharpening touch-ups. This sharpener does work and is best for touch-ups and for blades that are just beginning to lose their edge, but not for blades that have become very dull.Because of the lackluster instructions, I am deducting one star from my review. Because this sharpener is under twenty dollars, it is still a decent value for the occasional sharpening to keep your blades working as they should.

seems to work once you figure out how to use it
The media could not be loaded. I picked up this all-in-one knife/blade sharpener from AccuSharp. I really dislike sharpening our kitchen knives with a rod sharpener, so I thought this might make life easier.I like that it is made in the USA and is very sturdy. Learning to use it was a bit of a challenge, however. The instructions on the package aren't very detailed and their web site is flat out confusing (looks like they mixed up which types of blades are single and double sided). I couldn't find any video on their web site for this type of product, only ones that are similar. But, thankfully I was able to figure out the two ends. One is for your standard kitchen/pocket knives with a double-sided blade. The other sharpening end has a blunt vertical guide which you lay on the flat side of pruners, lawn mower blade, etc. It also has a part for sharpening scissors but I didn't try that.Once you know the correct end to use for your blade type, sharpening is easy--just run the sharpener along the blade. I took a dull kitchen and pocket knife and made a before/after slice on an orange rind and the difference is notably in how well the blades cut but even visually in the slice. I'm convinced it works. They state the sharpener edges are on a 21-degree angle and they are supposedly replaceable. I'm not sure the angle our kitchen knives are on, but they are much sharper from my perspective. So, I'll take it. If the instructions were more clear to get me going, this would have been even better.

Works quickly and well for kitchen knives
This is really easy to use for kitchen knives and sharpens each one with several strokes. I hold the blade over the kitchen sink facing up and glide the sharpener along the blade so the shavings go into the sink. I can’t see how I could even accidentally hurt myself by coming in contact with the blade this way.I can see the clean newly exposed metal on the edges of each blade with several quick passes and the knives now work like new! I was going to buy new knives because they were all so dull and now I don’t have to.I am planning on sharpening mower blades in the spring and will comment on that but for kitchen knives (steak, serrated, butcher and other knives). The sharpening components and the screws holding them in are metal and the handle is plastic. Lightweight and ergonomic.I only wish it came with detailed instructions as there are two ends for sharpening with different tips and I had to research on my own to understand why to use each end for the type of object being sharpened. There are only a few short blurbs on the back of the packaging which get destroyed upon opening. It’s pretty self explanatory but having never sharpened knives before I bit more detail would have been appreciated.
