Superb.
This is a great resource for nurture groups, PSHE lessons on emotional literacy and so on. Really good quality figures and cards. Very small ones could play matching up colours of the figures to get started. Matching the figures, their facial expression, body language, the photo cards and words is where it gets really useful. Such a good resource for a wide age range. A brilliant resource for expanding emotional vocabulary and encouraging children to talk about their feelings. Highly recommended!

Versatile and well thought out
My wife was an early years teacher and gives this a 5 * review for use 1:1, with small groups or as play materials in a class or group setting. The product information suggests age group 2 - 4 years but it is much much wider than that! Social and emotional development, managing your feelings etc are high on the agenda with young children especially following the Covid lockdowns and lack of opportunities to socialise. The box comes with really good ideas for using the materials, ranging from simply talking about feelings through to matching, sorting and counting games. The small figures express 6 different emotions in their posture and facial expression - and there are 6 of these sets in different colours. The figures are sturdy for use in all sorts of small world play ( but not bendable as this could changer the emotions featured!) There are 6 cards which name the depicted feeling and show the the figures in cartoon firm, and on the reverse there is photo of a child looking angry, happy, embarrassed etc. In addition there are 12 small double sided glossy cards with single or groups of children showing the same emotions. The whole package is so well thought out, even down to the fact that the box opens out to forma small stage with a "spotlight" where you can stand the figure you are talking about! An excellent and versatile resource which at £22 is not expensive for a group setting. Recommended.

Fun way to learn about feelings
This set is a fun and hands on way to learn about feelings and open up the topic of feelings and emotions. You can use it at home like i did with my 5 year old girl or I think it would be suitable for schools or nurseries tooInside you get picture cards using real photos of faces and expressions and you also have the little emotion figurines which my girl loves. It’s a great way to open the discussion in a playful way and give kids more vocabulary to describe their feelings and talk about what type of situation makes them feel a certain way, and of course to understand other peoples feelings too and how our actions can affect that

This is absolutely brilliant
I am really impressed with this set of figures and at such a good price. Useful in groups to discuss emotions and feelings, whether the child is SEN or not. Games to educate can be played - colour group, emotion group, count the figures, make lines of figures without duplicating an emotion, "lucky dip" a figure and have to act the part to match it.Even if there is only one child (autistic?) in the family with siblings it can help all. It is not exclusively for SEN. Kids will love the little characters.
