Very well made but too small for my full sized CCW
This is very well made, but too small for me. It would not work for my purpose, which is locking up my fanny pack in the trunk of my car with my Sig P229. I returned it (B2 Model) and bought the larger version (B1 Model) and it fits perfectly. This product is very well made, everything is top quality, great instructions, many ways to get into it and well thought out. The only issue is the size is a little misleading as it is limited by the box smaller opening and hinges at the back. The effective useful size for me of this smaller (B2 Model) unit is about 2'X5"X8". The larger unit (B1 Model) is about 2.5'X6"X11". The box opening is smaller than the box and fumbling to get your CCW out in the middle of the night will hit the metal edges and alert the intruder with the loud metal to metal sound. I returned this smaller unit (B2) and bought the larger one (B1 Model). As you can see, my fanny pack would not fit in the smaller one but would fit in the larger one with my Sig P229. These pictures are my 44 Mag and my Sig P229. I programmed 3 fingers on both my strong and weak hand for multiple backup access. The finger print reader works perfectly, every time.

Fantastic!
I never thought I’d be reviewing a safe but here I am. I can’t say enough about it! So easy to set up and Quality!! I keep having to remind myself it’s a safe and not home decor. Put it away Gurl!I got the Gold one as you can see.

Excellent safe to go on a nightstand or a dresser, the cable is short though
This is a really good metal safe to go on a nightstand, dresser, or similar surface, that can give you quick access to a gun or similar size/shape of item. All of the features work well without any fiddling with them, and it includes a replaceable rechargeable battery that you can charge via the Micro-USB slot and cable (included). You can open it with the included keys, the fingerprint reader, the (user defined) numerical pin, or the app.The downside is that it charges via Micro-USB, it would have been nice to see it use USB-C instead. There is no power adapter included, so you'll need to have a spare USB outlet to plug the cable into. The safe beeps whenever you press a button, use the fingerprint reader, or press one of the setting buttons on the inside. It's also got a light on the inside that turns on whenever the lid is opened, so when you have it open you can easily see what you put inside the safe. The foam inside the safe is also pretty high density, so it should prevent anything from banging around in there. The key pin can hold a 6-digit combination, and it has to be 6 digits exactly, no more and no less. The key is some kind I'm not familiar with, with slots on the sides, I doubt it's the most secure key type, but it should suffice to keep anyone without specialized knowledge or tools from picking it open. That gets to my next point, security of this, since it's meant to be used as a gun safe. It's made of metal, and it's secure enough to keep a gun in if the safe is secured on your nightstand, for example. The cable itself screws into a connector inside the safe so it's not easy to detach it without opening the safe, and it should put off anyone looking to just pick it up and walk away or anyone with scissors. The hinges are also on the inside of case, and they seem pretty durable.I wouldn't keep a gun in it if you've got kids unattended, though, because there's enough of a gap in the opening that you could get into it with enough force. There are also likely ways that you could open this with an angled paperclip or such, if you know where to press. That's not what a quick-access type of safe like this is meant to prevent, however, so I'm not counting that against it.Overall, this is a really decent nightstand safe for something the size of a handgun or two, or similar sizes of items to that, in a medium-low level of security.I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis. I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. I will not mince words. I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

Well made, works as advertised
I just received this new gun safe today so my review is based on my impression of the item after about an hour's time. Can't speak for longevity at this time.First, there are plenty of similar gun safes on Amazon for $59 that have biometric (fingerprint) readers. I wanted a safe that had that feature. The integrated phone app feature is what caused me to spend another $10 for this item and for the reason I state below it was well worth it.My purpose for buying this safe was to store the gun safely now that we have grandkids in the house while still allowing me quick access since the gun I bought the safe for is intended for home protection. The safe will be placed on a night stand next to the bed.Out of the box: well packed, sturdy, nice finish. Comes with battery, USB charging cable, 2 keys for manual opening of the safe, tools (phillips for the battery cover, small wrench for attaching the included "safety cable" that allows you to secure the safe to a table leg, etc), foam pad for the bottom to protect the gun(s), cards to record passwords and instruction manual. My manual indicates this is the B2 model. It is the smaller version of the two safe sizes offered on the Amazon product page. This one holds 2 guns while the larger version holds 4 guns. The instruction manual is typical of what is provided with products made in China. Nuff said :)First I opened the safe with the provided key and installed the battery. The battery orientation is not shown in the manual but if you look on the inside of the battery cover it is shown there but kind of hard to see. It also has the typical spring conductor for negative end of the battery. The battery came with 80% charge. The manual calls for a battery with a minimum of 2000mAh capacity. I'll probably buy one with a much higher rating (saw some 9900mAh on Amazon) just so I don't have to charge it so often. After the battery install I started reading the instructions for setting non-default passwords, fingerprints, etc. and quickly decided to download the phone app (which is recommended in the manual) and see if that streamlined the install process. After connecting the phone to the safe via bluetooth the rest was a snap. I would recommend this method vs. the somewhat clunky push button setup methods found in the manual.I read a few reviews that said the fingerprint reader was troublesome and would open with any fingerprint including those not stored in safe memory. I did not find that to be the case. I used the phone app to set thumb, index and middle fingers on both hands. The process was simple and worked well. I tested each finger after I was done and the three fingers from each hand that I had entered each opened the safe on the first try. I then tried the fingers I did not enter and none would open the safe. When the correct finger print is used the safe opens very quickly and the interior light illuminates the contents of the safe. The phone app makes this really easy and allows you to name each finger print and displays a list of the prints you have entered. I believe it will store up to 40 fingerprints. I will add my wife to the fingerprint list later.I saw another reviewer state the safe was too small for his guns. The product description is pretty good at describing the size for both 2 and 4 gun safes and shows examples of each. I put a Sig P320 and Sig P365 in the safe and there was plenty of room for those two guns. One is full size and one is compact.I also saw a review that said the safe did not come with any way to secure it to a night stand, etc. Maybe the safe did not originally come with the safety cable but this version does and I think the cable is a reasonable way to secure it. The cable is much like a bike cable lock with a loop on one end and a threaded end that screws into the safe. I have not tried to use the safety cable yet and probably won't. When I travel the gun goes with me or it can be stored in my large gun safe in the garage if I need to secure it.The keypad will also allow access to the safe as well as the keys and the phone app but they are much slower methods for opening the safe. I prefer the fingerprint method. The bottom line is this gun safe meets my two primary requirements: 1) prevent grandkids (or anybody else for that matter) from accessing the gun, and 2) provide me with quick access to the gun for home protection purposes. I found no fault with this product and I would recommend this safe for the reasons I've mentioned.Hope this helps.
