This is such a useful power supply. From 3v-24v 3 amp 72watt supply in increments of 0.1v, with clear led display. Works well, stable, runs cool, has screw hole fitting for wall/floor mounting. I am using some of these in my recording studio on old/fragile/expensive equipment. Had no problems. I'm sure they would be equally good on railway layouts etc. Be aware it takes a careful hand on the 'knob'.. to set the exact voltage, but once it's done. it's done.

I bought this to replace a chinese lead which came with a large device with remote control that overheated to over 70degrees C in less than an hour. This works with it and feels safer and has not reached the temperatures . I'm not an electrician , but the adapter cuts out when it reaches 12volts. As the chines machine did not state this information, I am assuming that is the max power so i run it below, as its variable power remote control and works. The seller was also helpful.

I bought this power supply to use as a speed adjuster for a used washing machine motor that I am using as a DC motor for rotating different things. It works great for that but I can also use it as a power supply for all my devices like phones and laptops because I bought it with all the adapters. I just have to set it to the correct volts for the device.

After several attempts to buy tips for my laptop, these actually work! Worth its weight in gold!

Value for money, variable voltage output, voltage readout clear and helpful.

Will cope with anything required and is really easy to adjust and read in use.

I purchased this so I had a set of different connectors with the ability to set the output voltage. You get enough adaptors to make this a useful thing to have in the draw, and while it ticks the general boxes, there’s a bit of a flaw that would have me nervous about using this for anything other than a quick test or when I know it’s not going to move or be touched accidentally. The issue is that the voltage set has no protection, there’s purely a potentiometer and a 7 segment display as feedback to the current voltage being output, there’s no protection against accidental changes. I would be very wary of using this unless you absolutely know the potentiometer won’t get knocked, you could very quickly release magic smoke by simply moving a cable and nudging the pot. Some kind of locking mechanism would make this a 5 star.
