Works Well!
I purchased this fermenting jar to try making homemade dill pickles. It was a fun (and delicious) experiment in fermentation. The quality of the jar was great and so was the packaging! I am very pleased with this jar!

I USUALLY MAKE PICKLED VEGS. IN MY LG CROCK IN THE WINTER..BUT I SAW THE SMALL GLASS ONE I CAN USE IN MY REF...SO NOW I CAN PICLKLE MY GARDEN VEGS. THIS SUMMER RIGHT IN MY REF.?ITS VERY PRETTY THE CLEAR GLASS WITH A DESIGN AT THE BOTTOM. CAN SET ON TABLE WITH LONG THONGS AND PEOPLE CAN HELP THEM SELVES..LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY AND IT HOLDS ALOT OF VEGS....

works as expected
We bought the small size for my mom and she loved it. It is the perfect size for a small family. The glass is very sturdy. The only reason that I give it four stars is that the tongs in the picture are not included in my package.

What I expected
I had a jar that I used for a couple of years and it cracked one day when I tried to clean it. This jar is way more sturdy with pretty thick walls. only downside is the small space for water sealing.

Manufacturer error
The bottom fell off and my ginger bug poured out all over the table and floor. I never bumped it or anything.

Glass is good but the water space is too small
The glass body part is satisfying but the water space at the top is too small. That means you have to add water every 3-4 days or air will get into the jar. How can I even take a one-week trip? Who was the designer?
