Amazing product
The one at Walmart costs $240 without microphone and without backing camera. This one is cheaper and includes microphone and backing camera. I love that the instructions are clear. It also has separate instructions for the backing camera. All cables are labeled accordingly which is superb!!! Very easy to mount. Camera view is not the greatest but it is more than good. Android play and Apple Play worked well as well as Bluetooth. I don't use tuner so skipped it. Works great with my speakers. My prior radio did not stick out of the dashboard so the sun would make it hard to see the GPS. This is the perfect solution for that. I turned the brightness all the way to 10 and can move the screen to the side and no more sun glare. The backing camera option has labeled cables for the braking wire that you need to connect to your car's braking wire. Our car's manual did not specify which cable that was- we didn't care to look for it so we did not set up the braking wire which means that when you go into reverse gear, the camera doesn't automatically pop up, you have to press it on the monitor which is fine for us. We could get a radio person to do it but not an issue at all, we don't mind. Microphone is clear and mountable with double sided tape. All on all, very pleased 😀 will buy again for my second car.

Good for money
Not the best audio, but not bad by any means. Screen quality is decent, about what you’d expect. Takes a minute to turn on during startup, but after using this head-unit for over a year it is something I rarely notice. The included backup camera is still working, although it certainly is not the best quality. The dial for the volume is a nice touch, and the entire unit has held up well for me with over a years use and being installed in 2 different cars.

Very good, small hiccup
I’ll start off with the head unit. The touchscreen is very good, much better than I had expected. The response to touch is quick and you don’t have to apply much force. The latency between touch and response is also very good, except for in the settings menu for some reason. Apple CarPlay works very well, the touch response is even better there. Everything else is about as you would expect it, nothing crazy for inputs, mounting is a pain (but it always is) and sound quality is solid but not top notch (granted the built in amp and equalizer are much better than any other head unit I’ve had before). As for the camera, I have no idea since I managed to cut the AV cable in half during install.. but it does look like every other Chinese made backup camera on the market so I’m sure it’s fine, but nothing special. Now for the hiccup, I’m not sure what’s caused this, but as I was heading home tonight, the screen refused to display the backup camera image as I was backing out of a parking space. I figured the ground must have come loose or something simple. BUT when I tried switching to CarPlay, the screen was still blank. Everything else worked just fine. Even the music from CarPlay was working, just not displaying. I then found out that the screen was receiving input from my phone as I could touch the screen to change songs, function, etc. just nothing would display. Turning the screen off/on, cycling the car, disconnecting the power from the unit, nothing worked. I finally gave in and did a factory reset and for some reason that worked. Hopefully this doesn’t persist, but if it does, i guess I’ll be seeing how good Boss customer service is… Otherwise, I’ve been very happy and would recommend the stereo, unless this issue persists.

Great!!!
Brings my 04 onto 2014, sound out of it has been pretty good, the EQ is awesome the interface is OK, love when android auto works! ATM I'm not sure how to feel about this, because android auto seems to crash randomly and somewhat frequently I'm just not sure if it's the wire, radio or phone! But when it works it's great! Bluetooth and phone hookup are fine as well, back up cam is OK aswell!

Perfect retrofit
I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota with a single DIN and I have been wanting to upgrade to a double din but that would be a huge undertaking. This stereo is genius. That touch screen is glass not plastic and works beautifully. Now I have modernized my 23-year-old truck with a full touch screen. The sound quality of the hands-free phone is equal to any modern car. The iPhone carplay is amazing. I have a full screen for maps now and I could not be happier. I paired it with four boss door speakers and a small amp and the sound quality is extremely good especially for the price. I highly recommend this unit.

Ok radio but ths BOSS company is the worst to deal with.
This radio is ok. It has its flaws but make sure you figure them out and they dont affect you within the return window. The company BOSS that makes this is terrible. Their support is the worst. If your lucky and even get a response from them, they just choose to ignore you when they dont feel like addressing issues with their product. They obviously dont care about the consumer and its amazing they have made it this far.

Great upgrade for older vehicles with one issue
This is a great upgrade for my 25 year old truck with one small problem. First off I love that I can now use Android auto in my old truck and how adjustable the settings are. I'm able to create my own EQ as well as separate sub controls. The reverse camera is a plus. I was able to bypass the parking wire by attaching it to ground. I understand why they want you to connect it but just don't be dumb and do things you shouldn't while driving. The camera mount tucks nicely behind the license plate so all you see is the small square camera. You're able to adjust the lines and remove them if you want on the video. Now the problem. When I am connected to Bluetooth and playing music it has a scratchy sound on the highs. This is super annoying since my 13 year old head unit that I replaced never had that problem (my trucks speakers have been upgraded properly years ago so that's not the problem). If I connect it through the USB it sounds perfect. I tried another phone to see if it was just my phone and no it did it on that one too so it's the head unit. Even in my 2019 Subaru with an Android auto head unit when connected to Bluetooth sounds fine. I been playing with settings to try to figure it out but I am unable to for now. I guess that is something I will have to deal with to have the extra features. Other than that since I just installed it, it seems like a great head unit. I will update this review if anything changes. UPDATE: 3/4/2023 So no fix for the bad sound quality on Bluetooth. Ended up purchasing a wireless Android auto device which made it nice so I don't have to plug my phone in anymore for Android auto and music. The Bluetooth sound quality is perfect on that so that fixed my issue. Also the camera quality on bright days is not good it gets washed out. I have been noticing a fuzzyness to the video as well. This can be fixed with a better camera but this will do fine for me since all I'd use it for is lining up for a trailer. Still recommend.

best of the cheap touch screens
So I bought 7 units trying them all in my car until I got to this one. Spend the extra 100 and buy this one. The screen is really bright and is extremely visible, even in bright sunlight. the adjustability of the screen position is really good and stays in place even on bumpy roads. the screen is really easy to remove unlike other models in this price range that require disconnecting a ribbon cable. The speaker volume is really good and the phone mic pics up the your voice really well. Also the back up camera works really well. All in all if you are looking for an after market stereo with apply car play and a reasonable price this is the one for you.
