Functional but flawed
The 6mm plywood lap board is a decent product that serves its basic purpose, but it comes with some noticeable shortcomings. Made from thin 6mm plywood, it lacks the sturdiness needed for heavier tasks. When I placed a substantial book on it while resting it on my lap, the middle sagged slightly, which was disappointing. While it’s lightweight and portable, the build quality leaves something to be desired—my unit arrived with one corner slightly crushed, likely due to shipping or handling. Another drawback is the rough, unfinished edges. They’re abrasive enough to scratch any surface the board rests on, like a table or chair. I’ve been using it as a bridge between my chair and table, and it does provide a convenient tilted surface for reading, which is easy on the eyes. However, to make it more practical, I’m considering taping the edges to prevent scratches and improve comfort. Overall, this lap board is a budget- friendly functional option for light use, but its flimsy construction and rough edges hold it back.
