Great Value and Easy to Fit
When I read some of the other reviews, I was a bit put off this item, but ignore them. The item is really good. Fitting it is easy. You remove the rear plate (two screws) and screw it to the wall, then fasten the main unit back on to it. It is really easy to do this and makes sure it is firmly affixed to the wall. The wiring is easy too. Just check you connect up the coloured wires correctly - I googled this and again, it was easy. Then there are three controls - that you turn - for Luxe (how light or dark it is to make it come on if there is movement) a time control to determine how long it stays on for and a range control to determine how far away from the light you want it to activate. The controls are easy but hard to see in restricted light so get familiar with them before you put it up. I am delighted with this product. Recommend 100%.

Read this before getting out the ladders
Bearing in mind that the light would normally be installed using a ladder, there are a number of design points which could be improved. Take a look before getting the ladders out!1) The fixing bracket holes are obscured by the unit itself, requiring the bracket to be removed. The bracket should be extended each side allowing it to be fixed in place without dismantling.2) The nuts on the bracket fixing screws provided should be captive (and preferably Nyloc) thus avoiding the need for serrated washers. All things you would normally drop and never find (especially when up a ladder).3) The junction box cover should have captive screws for the same reason.4) The control dials on my unit were too stiff to turn by hand and I reluctantly had to use pliers.5) The holes in the bracket for fixing to the wall are far too large for the size of screw required to take the weight of the product.Despite these comments (which serve only to aid the installer) the product itself is excellent value and works well with no problems. It arrived, well packed and included the appropriate bulb (which we were not expecting), in two days on free standard delivery. We have a similar one at the back of the house which has lasted for more than 10 years.Footnote: Sadly this has only lasted 22 months before breaking and we are going to have to replace it.

The buyer will always have to tweak the connectors once the bulb is fitted
I have purchased and fitted many of these lights 50/60 over the years and have always had to adjust the bulb connectors to ensure they work properly, never have I taken one of these models out of the box and once wired have they ever worked without tweaking the bulb connectors, generally attempting to move the connectors closer together to ensure proper contact of the bulb. Once you undertake correct adjustments they work for years.

It's good light but price has increased recently
The light is good quality and is easy to fit as wiring a plug I didn't use the light bulb included as I had an LED version which would save money, however the LED version is nowhere near as bright as the one included in the pack. If your lighting a smaller area LEDs are ideal if you are lighting a large garden then you probably want to stick with the one in the box. This item was a returned item and I got it a few pounds cheaper and I have to say I couldn't fault it.

Great value floodlight
Purchased this floodlight to replace a broken one by the garage. Easy to fit , although be prepared to make several adjustments to the settings once fitted to get the detection / timing you want. So pleased with this value floodlight that I purchased another one to replace the old one in the garden.
