GODOXLux Junior Retro Camera Flash Speedlite Compatible for Sony,Canon,Nikon,Fujifilm,Olympus

I am a professional photographer, and I do not enjoy carrying around huge equipment. I bought this as a travel light option and when I am wanting something low profile and easy to setup. This little guy does the job, and does it well! It puts out plenty of light, I often don't use it at full power because it's not necessary. I have used it continuously for a 3 hr shoot before I needed to change the batteries. If you are a fast shooter and need it to recycle the flash quickly, you will have to change the battery faster, but if you are very intentional and slower with shooting, you will have no issues.

Buy this flash if you want a flash that you can take with you everywhere. Assume that you will do some shots until you get the settings right because its cannot read the light of the camera.For my needs its perfect. The manual settings are only an advantage for me because I like full control.Here is a picture taken in day light with slow shutter speed and a short flash to compensate on the camera movement.

Flash was nice when it worked. Now its stopped working despite changing the batteries. Not worth it.

It’s not much more than a pop up flash size-wise, but it does offer manual and auto controls. You can also sync it with other flashes, so that’s cool. Great for Fuji x100v and similar..

Was looking for anything small to work with some point & shoots (I have a Ricoh GRIII, Leica Q2, Lumix G1X etc) that has manual settings…Contax TLA200 is gold standard but too bright for digital and kinda fragile. Lumix has some great flashes but they don’t work with Ricoh (they do with Leica FYI).Anyway… $70, manual control, not huge and obnoxious. What you might not notice from product photos is that giant white fresnel hides an emaciated, wildly underpowered flash tube that’s TINY. Approx 1 inch (diameter of a quarter)… i wouldn’t use this on an iPhone.- has super-ugly rectangular stepped vignetting that’s dramatic (not in a cool way)- very slow recycle even with brand new Eneloop Pro (black) batteries- even with MODEST settings to keep flash at 1/8-1/16, embarrassing recycle and inconsistency.- battery door is chintzy and about to fall off, power selector is chintzy & about to fall off.I’ll put up with a lot of stuff for a flash that makes good light, and this just doesn’t. It’s kind of egregious that the facia makes it seem like it’s a big, wide flash tube when the flash area (reflector, fresnel and all) is really the size of three quarters stacked on top of each other.Go on eBay and buy an actually vintage auto thyristor for $5-15 and you’ll be much much much happier (and yes, get a voltage reducer if you do).Waste of $70, after using it, I wouldn’t pay $10 for this thing.

Excellent purchase. This compact speedlight works quite nicely. Easy to use, with good power. N ot quite as powerful as my full size speedlight but works well.
