Our son uses this book along with other Alfred basic piano books and he is learning quickly.

This is actually recommended by our piano teacher for our son. We used Alfred set as the beginner set for my son. It’s easy to follow and great for me as a mom to learn how to play piano. It’s easy to follow and great to learn gradually.

I remember using the Alfred books when I was young just learning to play the piano so i was happy to see they are still out there. I got the theory, technic, and lesson books to start my own children on their way. They are exactly as I remember. A great tool to teach new piano students.

The master piano teacher chose these books for my young granddaugther because they teach the new comer to piano the way he knows will work for someone who has no clue of piano playing. These books (all of them: theory, piano pieces etc) work together to instill what is needed for a child to understand reading music and playing the piano with confidence.

I love these books and their method for teaching kids (and even adults) to play. It starts from the absolute beginning and helps kids build their skills in a way that gives them confidence and isn't frustrating.

As an adult, new to piano, I have found this books very helpful in learning basic notes, chords, and concepts. I have graduated to the green books after 4 month, but still practice from this one.
