Got this to put on the side of my fridge near woodstove
We recently renovated our kitchen and it meant having to move our fridge. Unfortunately, the only logical place it would fit was within a foot or so of our wood stove. We decided to try this product before doing anything more expensive/drastic, like encasing the fridge. I was doubtful it would help, but it seriously does!We used two sheets to cover most of the stove-facing side, but didn't place any material on the edge of the door. The heat difference between the covered portion and the uncovered edge is dramatic. The material will feel practically cool to the touch, while the edge of the door will be very warm.Apply the material was easy. I removed air bubbles by using a flat edged metal spatula. So far, we haven't noticed any edges coming off the fridge and expect it to stay intact overtime since we don't touch the side of the fridge other than to randomly check the heat deflection. So far we haven't noticed the fridge running anymore often or our food being any less cold. At the time of this review, we have only have the material on for about a month, so we will see if our electricity bill increases as a result of the fridge running more due to the heat.Lastly, we thought the material would be an eyesore, but it's not that bad. I'm so glad we tried this material!

Aluminized Heat Shield Thermal Barrier
I purchased this Thermal Barrier to place on the side of my refrigerator. The refrigerator and stove are very close in our cabin and I wanted a protective splatter and heat barrier. I did not WANT to use the adhesive backing to place the barrier on the refrigerator. I tried using heavy-duty magnets to attach the barrier to the refrigerator, but the barrier is too thick. I used packaging tape at the top of the thermal barrier and it stays in place well. It has worked effectively for splatter and heat resistance from the stove.

Does the job I purchased it for.
I purchased this for my mother's kitchen. Her gas stove is very close to the cupboard wall, and I was concerned that the heat from the stove would dry the cabinetry over time. I received this promptly. It was easy to install. Because the size was just what I needed for this space I didn't need to cut it. The adhesion seems ok but I'm not so sure it will hold up over time. One end seemed to be lifting a little the next day. So, I may need to glue this down better intime. It appears to retard most of the heat. The only drawback is it doesn't look great. It's a bit wrinkly looking but because it's on the side of the cabinet that doesn't face outward most people will never notice it.

Seems to be doing its job well.
I got these to line under my upper kitchen cabinets. I got an air fryer/toaster oven that specified not to put under anything. Well I didn't have a choice. All my counter space has cabinets above it. So far there doesn't appear to be any damage to the cabinets I used this under. No signs of heat damage or that things in the upper cabinets are being affected by heat. I only had to trim a little off edge and cut to length needed. Was very easy.
