Lay - n - Go Original Activity Mat, Blue

Hesitated because it is a bit pricey. But so glad we bought it. It seems very well constructed and is so handy. As one reviewer noted, this thing is big enough and strong enough to contain more legos than you would care to lug around in it.

My 10 year old son loves this lay and go. Before we had this, he would dump out his legos to build something and they would be all over the room. I would have to ask him to clean them up everyday and it was always a chore. Now with the lay and go, we can spread the legos out and clean them up in seconds.Pros:The 60” has a large diameter to lay legos outIt lays flatThe material is very durableIt can be wiped down easilyThe cord is dorable, locks and has a pocket that the can be placed in for child safetyCons:It can be very heavy “if” filled all the way, but it’s a strong material and can be pulled across the floor. My 10 yr old can carry it over his shoulder, but younger children may struggle if it’s full and need assistance. Just something to keep in mind.

My 6 1/2 year old grandson was coming for a visit and I promised to get out his Daddy’s legos. His 16 month old cousin was also visiting at the same time and I knew the small pieces were dangerous for her. The Lay n Go playmate was the perfect solution. He could play for hours, then we’d just use the drawstring to pull together all of the loose pieces! Well designed with special pockets, carrying handle and sturdy drawstring! I highly recommended! So many other uses, too!

This product creates an illusion of a boundary like nothing else, magically resulting in most of the LEGO staying within its circumference. For that alone, 4 stars.In terms of value, the item could easily be sold at half the price and still produce a decent profit. It's basically a ripstop nylon circle with a cord, basic, cheap, and functional. In terms of size, it is barely 60" all the way to the rim, and it will barely hold one large tote of LEGO (30 lbs or so). However, we use it as a designated play area and then dump the LEGO back into a tote when we're done, and dump the contents of a new tote on the circle.In other words, for storing LEGO it would only work for a small collection, but it does what I needed, it keeps the blocks in a designated area and makes them easier to clean up.

The material is strong and pick up is a breeze. It is well worth the money. The only issue I have ran into is it holds so many legos it starts to get heavy. Would buy this again in a heartbeat. Don’t hesitate if you feel you are drowning in legos.
