No elasticity
Not sure how you can mess up hair bands but I tried one and could tell right away there was hardly any elasticity. My hair is not thick and when I wrapped twice it was still not tight enough and yet wouldn't stretch to wrap three times. Took it out and it was completely stretched out and didn't go back to shape, weird. Color choices are nice, too bad they don't work.

Okay quality
As for the quality, I wasn't thrilled. One of the hair ties came with the fabric cover over the elastic already unravelling! The elastic is exposed with threads coming out of it. I tested one out anyways and it immediately stretched out when I compared it to one that hadn't been used. I have straight non-frizzy but thicker hair, so that was a little disappointing. The color was way lighter than I anticipated but that might of been my fault. Overall, I like that there is no metal piece (less snagging) but it's nothing I'll buy again. I'm considering returning but not sure it's worth the hassle. Wish I bought from somewhere else!

Only if you're desperate.
If you have blonde, brown, or black hair, buy from a popular store brand. I only purchased these because mainstream companies don't make hair ties that match my ginger hair. These match pretty well, but they have limited stretch and the spot where the end connect is ragged, rough, and TEARS your hair out when you remove the band! Even if you do it gently, it still snags. I had to actually file the melted edges to make them more tolerable, but even still, they snag. If you can purchase a different brand, DO IT.

Okay product, but short on number of pieces
I ordered a package black ties, "24 count" which would come out to be 12 pair. right? Well, obviously not for this particular $4.95 purchase. Unfortunately, I was shorted one hair tie--just one--so now I have 11 pair and an unwanted spare when my project calls for pairs (face shields to attach to eye glasses).Okay, okay-- so I saw when I ordered that the product seemed wildly overpriced in comparison to my colorful Dollar Store ties. But I wanted some black ones, so I rashly chanced the purchase, hoping for high quality as well as all black. Won't do that again.Oh, the pony tail holders themselves? The quality seems fine except that the elastic is too strong, too stiff, not easily stretched--harder to use in the shields than the cheap ties. The size is ok though a bit short. For hair? Well. they're far too stiff for the hair of the kids in our family--I even tried one on my own hair, and found it far inferior to the rubber bands I used to use.. So these aren't worth five bucks--at least not to us. I won't order again. Better to buy locally if possible.
