This is an excellent product among a confusing and wide selection of pillows! It’s amazing how much time one can waste in reading reviews and back and forth decisions! My decision ultimately was based on all the favorable reviews. This company provides a lot of helpful information in the package you'll receive, and the pillow fluffs up fully! Very comfortable and feels sturdy. I decided I wanted some extra padding as like it firm; I reached out to Milliard customer support and they answered me the same day! They shipped extra foam padding the NEXT day....at NO charge!!!! 5 STARS, folks!!! GREAT!!

I took the time to read reviews, so when my pillow arrived I unwrapped it, and removed the outer cover, then placed it in my closet for two days to airate and puff up to full-size undisturbed. Then Ireplaced the cover and set it on my bed. For me, the stuffing is perfect, no need to add any extra and I haven't removed any. I like the option of being able to do both. There was no extra padding included in my package which I was grateful for because I wouldn't have needed it or had a place to store it. The instructions said I could have placed the pillow into my dryer on fluff for 10 minutes to reconstitute it. (if I had wanted to ) also a recommendation from the manufacturer if it needs re-fluffing after use. This pillow is soft to the touch, and feels soft against my back while also being firm and supportive. I place it against the wall at the head of my bed and lean against it comfortably. I have also used it on my couch as additional back support and it works great there also. I am under 5' tall so sitting on most couches is uncomfortable unless I sit Indian style or with my feet tucked in under me. This pillow allows me to sit comfortably with my feet flat on the floor or proped up on the ottoman without having to slouch to do so. I like that I can take the stuffing out of the inner cover and soak (hand wash... not machine wash) the inner cover if it gets soiled, and then restuff it when dry. The removable outter cover is machine washable which is nice. I am guessing the stuffing could be machine washed/dried on gental cycle seperaterly after being placed in a mesh bag. I will probably give it a try at some point due to todlers and cats living in my home not to mention my own clumbsiness. I have had other backrest pillows (TV pillows) before they were supportive and firm, but hard and heavy, and machine washing was not recommended. Although I did machine wash them when they became soiled (had to or throw out). They always threw my machine out of balance and took forever to dry. This pillow is a true upgrade with major convenience factors. I highly recommend this pillow.

Takes a minute for it to fluff up, but it's really comfortable and supporting!

Appeared to be flat and too small upon seeing the box. Then I realized that the bedrest pillow it's replacing was simply much wider than this one. In fairness it's exactly as pictured, I just didn't know that these bedrest pillows can still vary in size even if they look alike in pictures. It has the same firmness and stability I need. I use a bed that lacks a headboard and I tend to move upwards in my sleep. This thing does the job or preventing me from hitting my head against the wall. I wish it was wider, but I'm not going to take a star away because I didn't check dimensions when I bought it.

It is very comfortable and rapidly expands once unpackaged to assume its proper shape.

NOTE that the title is "Milliard Reading Pillow with Shredded Memory Foam, LARGE Adult Backrest".Before anything let me say we love Milliard Products, we have 2 XL Backrests, 2 Twin XL Mattresses and 1 Body Pillow (that I had to remove from our bed because my husband said it was so large it was like sharing the bed with a 3rd person LOL).I got tired of my husband stealing my backrest every night so I thought I would purchase myself the "Large" rather than another Extra Large thinking it would be only slightly smaller. What showed up made us laugh! It's tiny, seriously child size tiny. In what world is this the difference between L and XL? It should be slightly smaller like clothes. The arms can only fit elbows and not full elbow to hand like the XL.Did they accidentally send me the child size? I should return, but I will probably give it to my 8 year old niece. See the pictures.That said, again we love Milliard products, but the "Large" is a bust, go for the XL it's large, luxurious, comfortable and hardy.

This is a great back support, very sturdy with just the right amount of give.
