I've owned the "smoky" tinted MarsClimber cases for the iPhone 13 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I now own the "clear" MoonClimber cases for the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The kickstands on both types of cases are the same. While the MarsClimber cases are a bit more grippy with a rubber texture on around the complete edges of the case, I don't find the MoonClimber series to be much different even though the material is a bit different. Where I would rate the MarsClimber series of cases to be a 10/10 in regards to grip, I would give the MoonClimber series an 8/10. Time will tell if the oils from your hands will make the case a bit more slippery, but I tend to wipe my phone and case quite often anyways.As far as the kickstand goes, I couldn't ask for more. I've had Spigen cases with the kickstands before and my experiences with the Spigen cases over time was not very good. Instead of using a magnet to hold their cases closed (which tends to fall off of the Spigen cases after a bit of time allowing the kickstand to dangle about without being able to stay closed), Torras kickstands are held both open and closed with a strong spring. This means that not only is the case very secure in landscape mode, but it's a bit more sturdy in portrait mode as well. I still would have a hard time suggesting that you use this case in portrait mode as the phone does have the ability to fall over when touched or if the table that it is sitting on is bumped.But, where the kickstand really shines is in the cases ability to very sturdily hold the case at almost any angle when the phone is flipped over in landscape mode. It is the closest kickstand to the Microsoft Surface Pro line that I've experienced on a phone case. If I'm standing and looking at a recipe on my phone while cooking, it is nice to be able to have it at an angle where I can still clearly read the screen from a bit of distance away. And not having to hold or touch the phone when I have flour or something else on my hands is wonderful.If I was to have a gripe about this case, it would be a very minor one. I do wish that this case came in more color options, more design options and even if there were some licensed sports, comic character, etc. options.I can't see myself using anything but a Torras case for a very long time. I paid full price for this case and was not paid for this review. I just believe the quality I receive from Torras is worth my time writing a very descriptive review. A simple 10/10.

I have been propping my phone up to watch videos, facetime, or watch my security cameras for years. No other type of case with a stand did the job. It was either too much case and not enough stand, or too much stand and not enough case.This has the perfect stand. It doesn't wobble. It's strong. It stays either perfectly vertical or horizontal when on a flat surface. The stand is so strong and durable, I swore it was metal. IT IS NOT METAL. I applied a magnet and it had no effect.The stand is easy to open, especially if you have nails. It might be hard if you're a nail biter. The stand doesn't retract unless you push it in. As you are pushing it closed, it retracts rapidly into place when there is about 1/4 inch to go. Very nice feature.The slightly raised edges around the front and camera are perfect. You can set your phone down on either side and not worry about it getting scratched.All of the buttons are easily pressed and the silent slider is easily assessable.I love this case so much, I will be buying a spare, incase I, MYSELF, ruin this one. I can't image a phone without this case anymore.

UPDATE - 3/20/24 - Purchased this case in August 2022 for 13 Pro Max. Have had this case for 1 year, 7 months. The swivel stand is losing its strength. When the phone is propped up in landscape mode, the swivel stand with the pivot point at the bottom, it will give and the weight of the phone is enough that it’ll collapse within 2-3 minutes. I prefer propping the phone in this manner since the volume buttons would be accessible from the top.I can easily prop the phone in landscape with the pivot point at the top with the weight of the phone at the edge of the swivel stand and the phone will never collapse…. but the volume buttons would not be accessible as they would be in contact with the surface the phone is sitting on. Not a big deal.I would reorder a replacement case but they no longer make this case for the 13 Pro Max.Original Review:Have been looking for a case with a built-in kickstand. I like basic, simple, non-fancy cases and this is just what I was looking for. The kickstand itself is super solid, very impressive. There’s a large enough space on the back of the case where I am able to attach a 2-1/4” x 2-1/4” Scosche metal plate which magnetically attaches to a mount in my truck.The one thing I wish this case would have, which I think would make it perfect, is to add ridges on the sides of the case to get a better grip when holding the phone.

I previously used the PopSockets along with a generic clear case, but they interfere with the wireless charging, and in my experience, are not as reusable as they claim to be. I figured I’d try this case for my last phone, and was surprised at how immensely useful it was. I can charge with the Qi chargers, or with the wireless batteries no problem, and still have the ability to stand the phone up! So I bought it again for my new phone.PopSockets were more comfortable to hold, but tended to collapse on me even more so than this case. At least I know it’s pretty stable and reliable if the kickstand is 100% open. It does have a tendency of collapsing if it is not exactly 100% open (not 99.9%), but you get used to that quickly enough.The kickstand does provide extra stability when holding as well - in case you need to take a photo or video at an odd angle - or if you’re just paranoid about dropping your phone, you can kick it out and wrap a finger around it. I’ve been able to get a lot of photos and videos solely because I had the kickstand available to keep my grip on the phone. I do wish the stand was more a bit more comfortable when using it to hold though. I know that’s not its intended purpose, but I use it that way quite often and it leaves a dent/sore spot on the side of my pinky if I do that too much.

I have used this phone case for 3 years and it keeps on trucking! Great buy
