Keen Men's Brixen like having a brand new Mercedes for your feet
An Excellent Shoe, Bottom line: Size was a concern after I read many who said to order 1/2 size larger. I wanted to wear socks with this and have the 10.5 mens Keen sandals I love so, since those fit perfectly I ordered the size 11 shoe... Wrong choice, Too big, but with Amazon's forgive and exchange I was able to pop the size 11's in the box and send back with the handy printout label provided by Amazon. Within a few days, over the weekend, I had the exchanged size 10.5 which is really perfect. Okay, now to trying out the shoes, First off, the only complaint, and it is small, is the sides do hit my ankle bone too like someone else also said. The solution for that for me was to wear heavy socks, and over time the shoes will get used to the fact that I have an ankle bone right where the top sides of the shoes are. The shoes are flexible and are already giving in to that problem and I anticipate there will be no further issue over the next few days of time wearing them. The Best Part, and the reason I wanted these shoes is that they are liberally wide and strong on the bottom with tread like a Mac Truck. This gives me a good solid footing on winter ground conditions, rain, wet, muddy, - Let me tell you, I walk my dogs come rain or even worse weather and I'm out in it every day and often. These shoes are like having a brand new Mercedes for your feet. Keen Men's Brixen Lo Waterproof Insulated Shoe keeps my feet dry, comfortable and set apart from the elements. There is no bad weather, only bad shoes, and these are good shoes, the best. I'm happy as I have tried everything and the one's I like and still have a pair I alternate with the Keen's now is the Merrill slip on Waterproof Moc. I have two pair because I let each pair air dry in the house while I'm using the other pair. I've talked enough about these now, Get 'em, even if you have to go back and forth to get the right size. As I see it now, just get the size you are and that will probably be perfect, as it is for me.

Great shoes. Expensive, but I caught a reasonable sale price.
Pricey, but well made. I walk my dog daily and need a shoe that keeps my feet warm and dry through the northeast winters. These have been doing the job on the slush covered shoulders of the country road I live on. Warmest slip on outdoor shoe I’ve owned so far. I normally wear a size 10, but followed the size chart that recommended a 9 1/2. I’m glad I did. Fit is great.

Excellent Quality and Fit but Break-in is Required
Excellent quality and fit but break-in is required. I bought these to have as a foul weather shoe to wear around camp and easily slip off when entering camper. They have amazing construction and will do the trick however, they arrive with an extremely stiff flex when walking, and very tight around the ankle. The ankle area is so tight, my feet felt like they were falling asleep while just sitting, even with thin socks on. The remainder of the fit is perfect. So, I realized the main issues come from needing to break them in. I grabbed some good leather conditioner, massaged it in to loosen the leather, then wore them around the house for a few days. Some extra tugging and massaging around the collar of the shoe, and they fit perfectly. With a bit of effort, I have a shoe that will perform as expected last a long time. I would buy them.

Perfect for every day use
Very comfortable slightly big but with thicker socks they are perfect I tried to go 1/2 size down and they were way too tight. Great support and they keep my feet warm and dry in the Michigan winter. Very happy with these shoes

Good shoe, runs large
Good waterproof slip on. Perfect for walking the dog or running errands around town. Runs a bit large. Normally I wear a 10.5, I could have probably sized down to a 10.

Would not be able to wear them all day.
I have Keene Utility shoes with two reorders. The current pair is looking shabby, and my wife talked me in to a different style. I me trying something new is more important to her than may comfort. The mules are comfortable to walk in but the top fits tight at my ankle and is stiff. If I wear them more than a couple of hours I am ending up with raw spots below my ankles. So I wear the mules if I am in public and dressing for her. I wear the old Utilities if I am going to be around the neighborhood and wearing them for hours.

Between Keen Slip Ons
I bought the Keen Brixen and the Keen Targhee III Slip on at Amazon’s try it before you buy. Although the Targhee III is easy in my ankles, the width on the toe box was too narrow for my wide feet and was just too tight overall. Perhaps, if Keen offer the Targhee III on a half size bigger it would be perfect for me. Cause the grip on this shoe is good. The Keen Brixen on the on the other hand had this grip on my ankles that did not feel right at first. But of course like any shoe, one has to wear it the whole day to make a decision. After a while I got use to the ankle grip of the shoe. Over all, this shoe is wider than the Targhee III and it feels like your wearing Crocs but more protection. Although the Targhee III has more grip on wet surfaces, I think you have to wear the Brixen for a day so that the rubber has time to kind a heat up for good grip. Personally, I work as a Dialysis Nurse in a hospital and I’m always on my feet dragging large dialysis equipment and getting my shoe wet. So getting the sole of the shoe hot is never a problem for me. Additionally, my feet are not sore from working 18 plus hours in the hospital I work in. My two cents for two slip on shoes Keen offers is that if your feet is not so wide and you want the fit to be snug then go for the Targhee III. But if your feet are overtly wide get the Brixen. I guess, everybody’s anatomy is just different. The Keen Brixen just works best for people like myself. As far as the durability, let’s see in 6 months to a year. Hope it does not give too soon especially I use this shoe everyday to work and during my off days. Over all I’m pleased with Brixen but I wish that Keen had offered this shoe with orthotic insoles not the insulated heat thing that was included in the shoe. But I would definitly buy this shoe again. Just need to buy an insole for it.

Awesome shoes, size is accurate. I wear these in -15C with good socks and am fine, but don't go in deep snow!

Schwer, genug Platz im Inneren, sehen verdammt gut aus. Stabil, solide, modisch. Wandern würde ich nicht damit aber für ein, zwei Kilometer gut geeignet. Für breite Füße.
