Great to have in emergency bag
Since it’s going into my emergency backpack, I didn’t want to open it but it feels reassuring to have it packed along with honey (never expires) and vitamin tablets. Now prepared to grab my bag and go if disaster strikes

Solid ruck snacks
They pack well in my rucksack and take minimal space. They are tasty, but you will need water to wash it down. Very good when crumbled and mixed with warm water in the mess kit.

Frickin' tasty dude,
In a basic sense, I like them, they're tough tasty and will do the job in a pinch. And can only describe the texture as if you really compressed a graham cracker and i'm o k with that. Their individually wrapped keeps the seal fresh. These are on the tail end of 5 years and they're still just as good as when I bought them. I like to supplement them with some kind of meat stick or something like that and and they keep me running hours no problem. Overall, highly recommend. Have water on hand as they are dry

Useful & Well packaged
These food bars are very well packaged and don't crumble easily. Their are separate meal bars in a larger outer secure pack. The inner meal bars are easy to unwrap and eat even with one hand. And the outer packaging is simple enough to open without a knife or scissors. Each individual bar is satisfying and doesn't taste too bad while giving a decent amount of energy. Instructions state three bars a day at 400 calories per bar. Each bar is sufficient for a meal although keep in mind each meal bar only has 6g of protein. These are for emergencies and will not sustain a person for long periods of time but certainly good for limited use and difficult situations for a few days. Great for taking backpacking or in the boat or even to leave in the trunk of your car for emergencies. I've tried others and this brand seems better than most for the price. They hold together well, don't taste too bad and are filling while providing energy that is needed in emergency.

SOS Food Labs 3600 calorie food bars
I purchased the coconut and cinnamon and the blueberry flavored bars, about 20 packs of them. The blueberry flavor bars were much better than you would expect for a survival food, just the right amount of flavor. Individually wrapped in a thin, see through wrapping and the long term storage bag they are vacuum sealed in will last just fine I think. Although I’m considering vacuum sealing them individually for obvious reasons.I haven’t tried the coconut and cinnamon yet but judging by the way the blueberry tasted I have no reason to think they wouldn’t taste just as good as the blueberry. With the way things are going in our country along with the rest of the world and all the talk about 2024 bringing suffering to all of us, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase 20+ more of these to have when the preps run dry (about 1.5 years worth and growing). If you’re not storing food yet, please consider starting immediately. Good luck to my fellow Americans

SOS Food Labs is a great company and you can rely on the quality of their products
First, relative to other similar emergency rations, this SOS product provides very good value and is higher in quality than other products I have used in the past. Although they are emergency type rations, the flavor is pretty good and some of the snack rations they sell are out right tasty. In addition, I recently had an issue where a ration shipped by Amzn arrived with a small hole in the package (likely from handling when being shipped). When I reached out to get it replaced, the shipper referred me back to SOS Foods. I called the number they provided and the folks at SOS answered the phone and graciously worked to send me an immediate replacement. In addition, they included samples of a couple of other products they offer. They went well above and beyond what was required and I cannot be happier with the quality of the company and the products they offer. I absolutely recommend them.

Great value for a survival ration
Compared to other long-term-storage items like MREs or dehydrated goods these definitely have their place. What you get is a brick of 9 individually-wrapped "cookies". Each has 410 cals, 54g carbs (mostly sugar), 18g fat, 6g protein. Honestly I found the taste rather pleasant - you're not eating beef stroganoff, but it's basically a shortbread cookie, sweet, slightly apple flavored. If I have any complaint it's secondary things. First, they aren't very well rounded in terms of secondary nutrients like vitamins. There's no vitamin C at all, just a small amount of calcium and iron. I'd really prefer a survival ration have vitamin C in it, so plan on adding some kind of vitamin supplement to your emergency kit. What's weird is the ingredient list contains citric acid, but maybe it's too little to be worth listing?Second, they're actually very hard to open by hand. There's a tear notch but the vacuum plastic is so thick it's hard to tear across. I had to use a knife, so make sure to include a small blade in your kit as well. If you're in survival mode and possibly weak from fatigue or stress, the last thing you want to have happen is be staring at your salvation and can't get it open...
