NO algae forming on the pool wall!! drastically reduced my chlorine use!!
I wanted to share my experience with Riverpure Solar Pool Ionizer that has been a game-changer for my pool maintenance. I live in NJ and have a 10,000-gallon saltwater pool. Before getting this device, I had to scrub my pool walls at least once a week to remove algae. However, since inserting this device into my pool in May, I haven't had to brush the pool walls once! There is NO algae forming on the pool wall. It's incredible and defies belief, but it works miracles. I've told everyone I know with a pool about this product.

Not a gimmick, works seamlessly well
I got this product advertised to me on my instagram last year and finally bought it for the beginning of this year. It made sense to try and reduce chlorine use both from a cost perspective but also from the perspective of trying to have safer water for my family and I.It really and truly works very well. You can see the copper coil eroding and working in the way that it is suppose to. I have used a fraction of the chlorine I would have used so far in the season and the water is crystal clear. You will still need to use chlorine and salt crystals to maintain a healthy PH so that the water doesn't become acidic and cause damage to the tiles/coatings on the pool but the amount of chlorine needed is greatly reduced to reach that proper PH balance.Would highly recommend again from both cost savings and health perspectives.

waste of money!
after using it as directed for 2 months - I am confident that it doesn't do anything, as reading on test strip didn't change at all

It's finally working after 4 months of continuous use ..
Update after over a year of use:I finally noticed that it's working in keeping the algae away after about 4 months of use. May be it's due to the corroded pool wall, I used to have a hard time keeping algae from growing despite heavy chlorine use and constant scrubbing. I was disappointed with the ionizer initially but after about 4 months of continuous use, I started noticing the clarity of the water and the diminishing algae growth on the pool wall. And since then, the pool is practically algae free. The original anode lasted about 9 months before a fresh set of anode, spring, basket and screw was needed.Couple things I learned from experience are that you don't need to clean the anode until you don't see air bubbling any more from the unit. Another thing is that it's best to keep the ionizer immediately downstream from the pool water return jet. This will help disperse the discharge from the anode into the water evenly to avoid any deposit on the pool floor and potential staining. One last thing is when ordering anode replacement, take note of the size of the screw hole on each end of the anode rod (m6 and m8 if I remember correctly), the length of the anode and the diameter to assure a good fit.It works great for me in cutting down on chlorine use significantly, although it did take a while for me to see it's effect. Best of luck.Original comments:Product was delivered on time and in good condition. However, after 5 weeks of the ionizer being constantly floating in the pool, I'm still not entirely sure it's helping with controlling algae. The ionizer seems to be working since I can see the anode corroding away and requiring weekly scrubbing. I can also see tiny bubbles forming around the unit. However, using the copper test strips that came with the unit, they never register to even the lowest shade which I think is 0.1. I still see algae forming on the pool wall, but it does seem like at a slower rate. I'm not sure that's due to the ionizer or the fact that the weather has turned cooler and now we have shorter daylight hours. Since it has passed the return deadline, I'll keep it and see if the copper level turns higher with time.

One month in it works.
I was having very minor clarity issues. Also I was using chlorine tabs and shock more than usual. So I bought the ionizer After 5 days the water was crystal clear and clorine use went way down. No shocking needed as algea has stopped. Cleaning the ionizer weekly is easy and quick. So far I'm very happy with this product.
