Convenient
Needed 2 remotes in one room for one fan to make life easier. Did the trick just fine.

Excellent Remote for Certain Hampton Bay Fans
We are all used to the “DIP” switches to program the code for overhead fans and the accompanying remote controls. But be aware, there are certain fans that have a pretty fancy remote system inside the fan assembly that does not use DIP switch settings. You still select the DIP sequence you want with this remote, but you do not have to get up on a ladder to set the DIPs in certain new fans by Hampton Bay and a few others. So, if you have this type of “DIP-less” modern fan type, your standard remote control will not work. You will need this controller. It costs more, but it does more: it programs your fancy fan controller in these special fans without having to climb a ladder and mess with DIP switches. Very convenient, but most fans do NOT have this type of arrangement, so be aware, and only buy this fan controller for these newer style DIP free fans.

Hard to get to work does not come with batteries
It worked with some tinkering. I pressed on and all the buttons nothing worked moved some of the switches around pressed all the buttons still didn't work I was not happy because I had to buy a whole sleeve of batteries too. Took a break and tinkered with it again finally got it to work

Worked out of the box
Bought a house with a Home Depot Altura fan but no remote. Added a light kit thinking the wall switch would work but it didn't. Read some reviews I might need a whole remote and receiver kit so dealt with the one speed and no light for a year. Saw this remote and decided to give it a try. No battery with this so I had to buy that separately. The remote and battery arrived in two days instead of one day using Prime. Pulled it out of the package, slipped the battery in, and to my amazement it instantly worked. All functions worked, three fan speeds, reverse, on/off even the light kit I had installed worked. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised.

So east
We purchased our Acura 68" ceiling fan and, promptly after installing it, lost the remote. I found this replacement remote and decided to see if it would work. After installing the battery (I did have to go buy one) the remote worked perfectly. We are very happy and relieved to be able to use all the functions of the fan once again.

Perfect replacement
The remote for my altura 68” fan from Home Depot stopped working—the led on the front stayed on all the time. HD didn’t sell a good replacement. But this is identical to the original and works perfectly.
