They work with a very decent amount of HOLD for the guitar strap without being completely Locked
These work fast and the cable holder is really worth it for convenience. It's not a complete LOCKDOWN for your guitar strap and if you really pull hard (I mean very hard) it will come of the button. BUT, these go on really fast and simple and come off easily ONLY when you want them to (not by accident). The cord handler is a really handy thing to have. I use it with almost any size cord and my wireless guitar cord from the transmitter which I clip to the guitar strap. Works great! These are super hard yet stiff flexible clip for a super price. Getting them on and off is a 3 minute learned curve. You'll be amazed no one else thought of this. I did NOT have to change my guitar Buttons at all. I use a leather strap that's not super thick but it still fits nice and tight and does NOT slip off the guitar. Hope yours work as well as mine. I have also used one in front / top of my guitar for my headphone wire - it's also VERY handy and more organized when needed.

Works well if your straps/strap button allows for it
I have one of those straps with thick leather ends. It eventually fit, super snug, secure. Kind of a pain to put on, which is why it's a 4 and not a 5. And realistically, if it was even marginally thicker it just wouldn't fit at all. I suspect that the strap button might pop off eventually due to the tension, but we'll see.

Cheap, easy, works very well. Buy some.
I didn't know if these would work well enough, as I've always used the button style straplocks that replace the strap button. But they're fantastic. ESPECIALLY for how amazingly cheap they are. And I love how I can so easily move them to different guitars.

Great little item for those with thick leather guitar straps.
I've used other strap locks in the past, both for acoustic and electric guitars. Some good, many others not so much. I didn't really expect much from these given the inexpensive price. Admittedly, I incorrectly assumed that these would be metal; some sort of spring steel. I was shocked when they arrived and I saw that they were completely made of plastic. However, they appear to be very durable, and quite springy. My issue is always the same: I use a wide, thick suede strap on my guitar (in this case an acoustic). I have had issues over the past with the strap suddenly deciding to pop off. It seems that the older any leather strap gets, the more likely this is to happen. So using these strap locks I immediately noticed how incredibly easy it was to put onto the endpin, over the strap. At first I was concerned about snapping the unit in half (it is plastic, after all), but that never happened. Instead it slid on smoothly, locking in a shockingly secure position. Once installed the strap lock is literally locked over the endpin, and unable to slip off on it's own. My only concern here is that the endpin doesn't work itself free, since it's just a tapered pin, sort of an "interference fit". So far this hasn't happened. I honestly feel that to date this is the superior design when it comes to strap locks. It's quite clever, and quite a minimalist design. I recommend it.

Great for active pickup users who have to unplug regularly to save battery life
I recently put a set of EMG pickups into my best girl and am still not fully used to unplugging her every time I stop playing for extended periods. It's something I'm working on. But, it's always been a hassle when I unplug and my cable just flops to the floor. Most players don't think about it because for passive pickup equipped guitars, unless you change guitars a lot, one never has to unplug except for moving it from one venue to another. For those with multiple wireless systems, you may never have to unplug ever again. Since I only have one electric at the moment, unplugging and re-plugging it back in every time I wanted to practice became an annoyance. So, I went on the hunt for a solution and this is what I found. Wow! Such a simple solution and so very effective. The install was super easy and it even works with strap locks! No more plug hitting the floor, no more bending over to retrieve it every time I want to play. The cable's always in the right spot and I'm always ready to plug back in and go - and it even comes as a pair for when I decide to expand the family again. At such a price point for such a useful peace of kit, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Great strap lock, bad cable holder
These are great at locking a strap in place, but it is difficult to attach the cable. For thinner cables it is okay, but for thicker cables it takes a lot of fiddling to mash it into the holder. It is much quicker and easier to just loop the cable through the strap.

Why am I only finding out about these now?
After a strap inexplicably came loose I determined I need to have some kind of locking system. I thought about locking mechanisms (button and strap attachment), and while most of them had mostly good reviews, the ones I read about sudden failure concerned me. I tried the old-school rubber washers, but they frequently popped off the button unexpectedly. These locks are inexpensive and fail-proof. With a little practice they are easy to use - put the large hole over the button and push down and back on the protruding part at the top - it pops right in. To remove, grab the two "ears" with thumb and index and lift up while you push forward - come right off. I usually keep the strap on the guitar, but I take off the lock nearest the bridge which has the cord snugly through it. The lock stays on the cord, and when I use the guitar again, and plug in the cord and attach the clip. No matter how hard I pull, I can't pull the leather strap off over the button, but I don't even think of them as locks any more. The one near the neck just stay on with the strap, and the one near the bridge I just think of as cord clip, which gets put on the guitar when I plug in, but which has the added benefit of securing the strap.

Werken die even goed! Paar klikjes en kabel en riem blijven zitten waar ze horen.

I have bought this twice and this is my third purchase. Its the cheapest locking strap for the guitar you can find in the market that is quick and easy to use. Just simply put it in and slide into the strap holder of the guitar.

Excellent petit gadget.
