Best in it’s price range
I bought this for my wife’s “sitting room “ upstairs. I have a large complete home theater in my man cave so I didn’t need anything high powered upstairs, just good quality sound. With that I thought this looked like it would fit my application pretty well. Had it for about a month now. So far I couldn’t be happier for the price I paid. The sound is clean and crystal clear. No distortion even at max volume. Has Very high quality sound. Surprisingly loud as well. Fills the room with loud rich sound from tv and music alike.I was concerned at first after reading some of the reviews but I have come to trust JBL over the years as I’ve always had good luck with their equipment so I went for it anyway. The concern I had was with the negative reviews on the sub as deep low end sound is important to me. (My theatre sound system has a separate 1000 watt receiver dedicated just to my stupid amount of varying sized subs placed throughout the room.) So far I have experienced none of the nightmares I read.Instructions were definitely lacking when describing how to pair the sub, but after a quick google search and the click of a link and behold, some random 12 year boy is walking me through it with ease. It has automatically connected every time it’s been powered up since. The other concerning complaint was the sub being weak and flat. In my opinion this little 6” sub is pretty amazing for its size and cost. Nice clean, deep bass that fully fills the room. However you will need to keep one factor in mind. Today’s small speakers use advanced sound engineering to create effects such as large speaker sound from a small one or surround sound out of just 2 channels. These speakers are specially engineered For sounds to reflect around the room giving a larger sound then actually produced by the driver. This fact means that Speaker placement is critical. Location Location Location!!! I moved my sub 3 times before I found the best placement to give powerful deep bass to all seats in the room. Remember, the sub doesn’t have to be in the front of the room. Unlike mid and high frequency sounds that are directional, bass sound is not. The human ear can’t fully distinguish the direction of low frequency sound therefore, your sub can be placed anywhere in the room. If you feel your bass weak or flat sounding, move it around the room. The only limitation you have on sub placement in the room is household outlet availability. Also remember, you’ll never get large, expensive, superior quality sound from a $200 Sound bar. This always requires more money. However, this. Unit in my opinion is about the best you’ll do for this price range. At this range, this unit performs excellent10/18/20 Update:It’s been 10 months now with absolutely no issues. I still couldn’t be happier with this purchase. If you’re considering purchasing this sound bar, do it!! You won’t regret it.12/4/2022 update: Going on almost 3 years now without any issues at all. Worth every cent!!!

Well designed and excellent value
I've purchased several Harman products in the past and know they don't make junk.We needed a compact sound solution for our living area and this didn't disappoint, given the price paid.Packaging:- It's a strange "b" shape box that is awkward to open, and oddly the unboxing instruction is pasted inside the box- Toslink and aux cables are included but oddly no HDMI cableInstallation:- Self-explanatory. Set TV audio to external as I am using the optical/digital output of the TV- Sub sync'd with sound bar no problem, but soundbar's default volume was very high on initial power-up, leaving my ears ringing as I scrambled to hit volume down on the remoteInitial impressions:- Sub is well-designed, sturdy, and low profile. Downfiring with back-facing port for good loading/coupling to living space. The port is flared which means no chuffing sound at high volume- Sound bar clearly displays the input mode when it's changed from the remote- Sound quality very good considering price point. Clarity and detail in the little sound effects in movies. Not surprisingly, the little 2" drivers in the sound bar don't dig very low and the sub has to take over from there, so there's a bit of a sonic gap in the lower midrange/midbass- Sound stage also pretty good. Given the physical aspects/placement of the sound bar, you are not going to get a wide sound stage but watching a movie the sound is engaging enough.- Haven't used any other features so can't commentI've seen the price fluctuate on here quite a bit. I got it for $219 then saw it at $249 after a few days.

Awesome System, at a great price!
We shopped around looking for the perfect sound bar for Bluetooth connection with tv, phones, etc. we tried a few including top names like one that rhymes with “Rose”. This JBL system, was no doubt the best. Connecting the Subwoofer was a little tricky but other than that, set up was easy. I’m very picky when it comes to sound with movies, and music, so I wouldn’t recommend just any ok sounding system. The bass option on this allows you to control bass separately so you’re not waking your family or friends trying to watch an intense movie lol. You have sound preset EQs for music, movies etc. It’s a powerful system that sounds clear, crisp, and punchy. It also has an easy mounting option. That is the catch with other systems, the bass is too much. This one is perfect in all ways. It is currently on sale for an outstanding price so jump on it, you’ll love it.
