These trays are exactly what I needed to organize my small sewing notions such as threads, scissors, etc. I built shelves about 2” apart with each tray sliding out. The trays are lightweight but definitely not “disposable”. They are sturdy enough for my purpose. They look good and clean and they can be wiped clean indefinitely. They are for light use, of course, but they are perfect for many things. Beyond party foods. I initially ordered 12 but now have re-ordered 8. Tip: these are available in 4’s and in 8’s with a good price difference for buying 8 together rather than 4. I didn’t see that initially.

These trays are just what I wanted for casual meals on our deck. I had bought others previously but they were too heavy even before loading for serving. These are lightweight but sturdy and easy to carry. The size is perfect for a plate of food with enough room for silverware, napkin and extra little bowls for dips or sauces. The bright white color is nice. They wipe clean easily. Useful for much more than just serving trays.

I overlooked the fact that these are plastic. The listing clearly states that so I have no issues with accuracy of the listing information, but I just looked at the photos and thought they were melamine. The mistake is clearly on me, so my review does not reflect any inaccuracy on the sellers part at all. I purchased this to leave on our laundry room counter at the back door to set recyclables on so it's easy to carry them outside. Since this generously comes in a 4 pack, I have also used them to take things to/from the kitchen out to the patio/backyard. My uses are utilitarian and ultra casual, so despite my mistake, I am still very, very happy with them. - These are very nice, pure white, plastic trays but definitely plastic and not melamine. What this means to me is that while melamine is very rigid, these have a slight flex to them. The 1.5" lip does give them more rigidity than if they were shallower, but if heavier items are on the tray (like beverages or a full plate of food), you'll need to hold the tray with both hands (one on each end) to prevent the tray from buckling or warping. - They look like plastic. Not that melamine is fancy, but to me, melamine is aesthetically nicer than plastic. That said though, these are much nicer than the typical cafeteria style trays. These have a slight sheen to them and are completely smooth and not textured at all. The straight lines and angled corners also give them a much more modern look than the rolled and rounded lines of cafeteria trays. They also have a slight sheen and a smooth surface (unlike the textured finish of many cafeteria type trays) which gives them a more finished look As plastic trays go, these are extremely nice. - They nest and take up practically no space at all when they are stored. They effortlessly wipe clean, though I'm not sure I'd put them in the dishwasher. I also wouldn't think of using them as a cutting surface, as the plastic looks like it might scratch easily. - I do wash them, but so far have just used a regular dish washing sponge. I have not yet needed to really to give them a good, strong scrubbing. Not sure if using an abrasive cleanser or scrub pad might scratch the surface as well. - My most recent favorite use for this is as a workspace for taking apart a Costco Rotisserie Chicken. It just works so perfectly for this. The lip keeps liquids contained and off the counter. The angled corners actually work great as a pour spout (I always make broth from the bones and pour the drippings straight into my stock pot). The generous size of this tray gives enough room for the whole bird with room on the side to stack pieces of meat you just removed. I've also used it as a prep tray - - - once when I was making k-bobs and another time for prepped stir fry veggies. I wouldn't suggest using a knife on it, but for food prep situations like this, it works perfectly. Realize these are plastic, don't expect these to be formal enough to use for entertaining and you'll be over-the-moon happy with your purchase.
