I majored in math so I of course thought this would be a funny gift. I was actually impressed with the words they had because I had even forgotten what they were. High quality book.

My little one liked it. If we're a little too close to bedtime, we can just read the ABC part, or if there's more time we can dive into the more detailed information. Things are explained simply and clearly

Our daughter and her husband loved this book we gifted to their new daughter. She will be introduced to math early! And in a fun way!

With the recent influx of friends-who-have-babies in my life, I have browsed and purchased several Fundamental Mathematics books for the very-young, including this one. (Which is what you /do/ as the "Math Friend")Out of all of those, this one exceeds the others by a statistically significant amount. I appreciated the wide variety of mathematical topics that got a presence in this book, beyond the usual arithmetic and basic algebra.Each page not only has the standard "A is for ____" format, but also includes a basic sentence that explains the topic. And, to my delight, a second sentence or two that adds further vocabulary or insight to the Letter's Topic. There were joyous exclamations. Really.Definitely a must-have for all enlightened infants.

I love this little book! It’s a bright, bold, engaging board book. It’s math on three levels. First, a very basic introduction to 26 math concepts - one for each letter of the alphabet. Then there are two more levels of explanation, each a little more involved. I love that kids can explore and be exposed to math so that it is and can continue to be approachable. I’m a high school math teacher and this is my go to baby gift!

I teach mathematics at the high school level and bought this for a baby gift. I love it so much and want one for my classroom! I really think it is neat how they have words to practice with baby but then also has descriptions that kids could use throughout their schooling. More than a baby book!

Our five year old loves math. This is a fun book for us to read (or him to read to us).I have never been disappointed with books in this series and would recommend them to anyone with kids or around kids.

Cute concept but content level and length is too advanced; too many words/sentences per page. Baby and toddler do not attend to book after first few pages; pages do not turn fast enough and my toddler’s interests do no align with central themes. We read it more like an ABC book - saying the letter and what it stands for and then turning to page, we skip the information/definitions. While the book allows young babies and toddlers to hear and be exposed to higher level vocabulary, that is all the books really provides. My honest opinion is that this book appeals to parents hoping to raise “advanced” children, providing them with a jump start in Mathematics and/or spark interest in the subject (and yes that is me - I did buy the book remember). If your expectations are just to expose young children to the vocabulary, then this book is a good fit for you. This alone will not make you Toddler a mathematician (obviously).

Excellent to share great time between parents and children, learning together.Easy to read, and very entertaining.It's for babies, but you get surprised when you learn also a couple of things.

She hasn't read it yet but iv read through it and it's really good. Has 3 different levels to it so when you first read it, it's pretty straightforward then it builds. Super educational and well put together.
