Another Vedette that is Extremely Difficult to Put on, but Also Still the Only Shapewear Worth Wearing.
I had previously used the Vedette 705, now called Vedette Sophie. They are called lite control. They are of a thick pantyhose type material with extra paneling where needed. They are awesome, I got so many compliments it was crazy. People who saw me regularly got wide eyed. Strange men chased me. They are similar to this one but a stretchier thinner material. Very difficult to put on, so I would wear it for 2 days at a time, sleeping in it the night in between. On day 2 my figure was awesome having changed overnight. The material on those would rip on the hips as I got them on, so I wanted something sturdier. I ordered the Stephanie. I could get on the large (even the medium) Sophie, but the XL Stephanie (says size 38 on it) was a no-go. I ordered the XXL (says size 42 on it). It was still very difficult and I gave up. I felt like my skin was going to rip while attempting to pull it on. The Sophie (705) is now very hard to find and mine are very badly ripped. So I decided to break out my Stephanie 42 again. I decided to give it all I was worth to get it on. And it worked. 20 minutes later it is on. And it isn't poking me, and I can breathe pretty darn well considering how tight it is on my waist. And almost entirely only at my waist. I feel it a bit on my shoulders (I do wish for thicker more comfortable shoulder straps), but otherwise it is pushing on only what I need pushed. I think I need to adjust it more, but I know it will get easier to adjust after its been on for a while. I feel it sucking me in and I know that those areas will get noticeable smaller in just a couple hours. I don't know if it will ever quite be the Sophie.Look, I hate how hard it is to put on. And I've tried all the tricks including the upside down inside out trick. But I have a drawer full of failures. Slimwear that just gives me a beachball belly mostly. I have a couple of real corsettes. One is too short and makes my bottom stomach look... well... I certainly can't wear pants with it. My other corsette, my longer one, actually does work. But its visible. You see the sharp edges under shirts, under jeans, and the super long laces are always threatening to squirm out. It can't fit perfectly because its mass produced and made of metal bones, not form fitting latex. I can't stand being in it for long. I can't sit and bend because its METAL. I can't sleep in it lying down because my body immediately screams I'm going to suffocate and die. (I did sleep a few hours sitting up though). Sitting in a real corsette is weird. You sort of sit into the corsette. Like you are laying against the thing itself. Its stiff, its unnatural. But it also isn't pokey. And it is the only other flattering piece of shapewear I have ever had besides a Vedette. My Vedette Sophie and Stephanie are the only things both wearable and flattering. My failures include the very popular Maidenform 1856. Super comfortable and provides a beachball stomach and butt. No thanks!!! A cheap Ashna Wan Mei, another beachball tummy. Overbra by Bifiex style 4604 for yet another unflattering beachball tummy. Cupid style 5278 for the flat breast look. Spanx Simplicity for a nearly beachball tummy and constant painful thigh digging (honestly it may perhaps provide a small benefit to figure, but not enough for compliments and extremely painful to wear). I have a couple of waist cinchers. They roll up because my tummy is concave. I guess they work on people who don't actually need tummy control. I have a couple without shoulder straps. They roll down for the same reason. A drawer full of uselessness. Money wasted. Almost $200 overall in unwearable shapewear.I want more information. I want to know where is the super comfortable, invisible, ultra quick to put on super shapewear that you won't even notice you are wearing? Where do I buy that? Does it exist? Will it? Are people working on it? Why is it that we can walk on the moon (for the last 50 years mind you!) and send land rovers to Mars but can't develop flattering easy to put on shapewear? This isn't that, takes too damn long to put on. But so far its the only one worth wearing, so I'm giving 5 stars, not 4, because so far it stands out as the only flexible hidden shapewear in existence that actually provides a flattering outline to my plus size silhoutte. But I'm still waiting for something better.

Made to last, made to give hourglass figure: does not disappoint
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the legs are shorter and smaller than needed. I am 190lbs and 5'3". I'm short and have big hips big booty and huge thighs. It gives me muffin thigh...which happens to me with any "shorts" shape wear. The material is high quality and very firm compression....yet still comfortable. The compression on the legs is light to medium and is breathable, the mid section is not breathable since it has latex and allows for heat to generate in that area, thus helping along the moulding process. The bra straps dig in on my shoulders quite a bit, but I just sewed on extra thicker fabric in that area which took me all of 3 minutes...and problem solved. I do wish the sides under the arm pit came up a little higher, since my fat tends to stick out of there (which is not noticeable if I keep my arms down by my sides). Most people will say these items fit too small or too tight, but they are SHAPEWEAR/COMPRESSION WEAR which are supposed to hold you in. It is a struggle to put on by yourself the first 2 to 3 times, but after that..the material loosens a smidge and it is easier to put on that way. I do not suggest trying to put it on after a shower. If your skin is even a tiny bit damp...it's that much harder to get this on. To sum up ...THE PROS: firm compression, fits to size according to measurements, high quality material, helps to mould your body with continued use, promotes good posture, comfortable to wear all day, easy to conceal under clothing undetected, the booty lifting is subtle but definitely there, the price on amazon from this seller ( Breakout Bras) is almost half of the cost if you were to purchase it from vedettestores.comTHE CONS: the bra straps dig in, the shorts give me muffin thigh and dig in a bit, the area under the armpits might promote your fat to pop out of the top of there (if you have more to love as I do), not recommended on hot summer days (as the fabric is thick and warm), the bottom opening is a bit bigger on me (some of my booty cheeks pop out the bottom if I don't adjust it just right)Hope this helps.

Great compression
Super tight compression. I should have bought a size larger, but it is a quality product.
