UNCO Smoker Gasket - 15 Ft, 1/2"X1/8", High Temp Grill & BBQ Gasket

I bought this tape in March to seal the lid of my Weber Kettle grill as it was leaking smoke. I finally got around to installing it today. Getting the white cover tape off was a complete nightmare. I relegated this to my wife who has the patience of Job. She had it on the grill in almost no time. I fired up the grill for a rib eye for dinner. Before the gasket the Weber never got hotter than 400-450 degrees. When I put the steak on the temperature was over 600 degrees. The steak came out fantastic. Not knowing how long this gasket will last, I still highly recommend it for any leaking grill. Good price and fast shipping to boot.

Holds smoke in very well. I also used it on my hobie kayak cassette plugs for a seal tight solution. I recommend this item for somebody needing a good seal. I was looking for awhile. Not one to normally write reviews.Great product that solves the air leaks on my weber kettle grill.Everyone complaining about removing the adhesive backing has never had to find the end of a roll of packing tape. It's not that difficult. However, you have to be careful since if you try to separate incorrectly, the felt will come apart.Thoroughly cleaned the surface it was going to be installed on and proceeded to attach it, removing 2 to 3 inches of backing at a time and adhering it since I was installing it on a curved surface. After making it all the way around, I ran my finger all the way around, ensuring it was pressed down the whole way around. Taking a star off because the felt started to pull apart while running my finger across it although I figure it will be fine once some smoke works its way into the felt.Smoked some ribs right after and fire management was soooo much easier! Barely a wisp or two of smoke escaped from the lids edge.More than enough left after installing on a 22 inch weber kettle.

Heat from my offset box fried it. The rest of it was fine but I’ll have to replace the gasket on the offset box next time i smoke something.
