Cheap + Cruelty free + mostly non harmful ingredients for acne + not orange!!
This foundation is great for the price!! And the shade range is great. I am cool toned and very pale, and I got the shade swan. The first foundation I have tried that is pale enough and not too yellow/orange :) It applies fairly matte, definitely best to blend with a damp beauty blender rather than anything else. I used it with the elf prep + hydrate stick and I think if you’ve got normal/dry skin you’ll definitely need a moisturising primer like that. It covers well, I think it’s best to do a thin layer and then reapply in more pigmented areas such as breakouts/acne scars if you’re wanting an even base. This is definitely the most full coverage foundation I’ve used but it doesn’t look cakey at all. I also mixed in a drop of face oil into it after putting some on the back of my hand, this gives it a slightly glowing and more natural look which I personally prefer. It still lasted well all day using this method. (I have combination skin) TLDR: Swan is great if you’re pale, not wanting to spend a lot of money and wanting a flexible level of coverage whilst not being cakey. 1st photo: drop of squalene oil mixed with two pumps of foundation 2nd photo: just foundation with powder applied after

Perfect coverage light texture
Really lovely Foundation , light to apply and good coverage I decided to try Elf as other foundations are to Cakey on my skin I’m now 64 and this is perfect , doesn’t sink in to lines and more translucent The only negative is the foundation does have a bit of a strange scent to it

Great alternative to il makiage
I have used il makiage for a whole but looked for a cheaper alternative and this is it, it covers really well and feel nice and light on your skin, you don’t need to use much. The only negative is it smells a little plasticky and I was surprised by this.

Excellent. Total dupe to Dior’s latest foundation. No pilling!
I bought five ELF products to try them out as everyone and their uncle was telling me how good this brand is. I’m a little qualified MUA - and I usually love Juvia’s Place makeup (which is now in our UK drug stores which is great for someone like me that has been ordering from America for years)! Anyway, decided to try a primer, two different sets of foundation (this one and the powdered foundation “camo” range) but this one was my favourite. Glides on like butter and very silky. I also used the ELF Illuminating Face Primer which seems like a great base (but it’s very glittery/glowy and I looked like Edward from Twligjt with just the primer on) I also used this foundation, the primer and the ELF Colour-Correcting eye brightener and tbh I’m very impressed. No pilling. None. Used with a brush applicator. I’m still waiting on the setting powder that’s due tomorrow but so far I’m impressed. I managed to get this discounted in the sale too. It wasn’t much but it was something. I’d rate this as good as Dior. It truly is medium coverage but also buildable. Isn’t cakey either. I’d definitely recommend this product over the powdered version because that pills like crazy. Well worth the money and well worth trying out if you’re like me and taking a gamble on this. Definitely recommend this. But AVOID the Camo powder range as it does pill. Nobody’s got time for that!!!

Honest review
Honest review: Pros: Great foundation for “every day”. It’s very silky and feels nice on the skin. It’s not heavy or cake-y. A buildable foundation. Applies well and isn’t patchy (like so many others are!) Cons: Shade was off (likely due to me buying online). A bit chalky. The swatch pic on the advertisement makes the consistency look thicker than it actually is (its more runny in real life than the buttery look in the ad). Doesn’t last long at all. It’s like a tinted moisturiser. Just melts into the skin and disappears 🥶 Personal view: I wanted something more affordable, light and pliable (with more coverage) than my huda beauty foundation. But this was just really runny, pale and didn’t last long. Can imagine there are better quality foundations at this price range. Don’t buy this if you’re looking for a night out makeup. Great foundation for every day when you can’t be bothered getting all done up. Would recommend trying your shade in store before purchasing to avoid disappointment. Also last tip - I found it goes on better / lasts longer with the ELF PUTTY primer😄🌸 Pictured is the huda beauty foundation (left) and the ELF foundation (right)

Great purchase
I bought this product for an evening event, I wore it over the elf halo glow, I didn't wear a primer, but I did use a setting spray, so wasn't sure how well this would last. The makeup was still looking good when I took it off, it had gone ever so slightly cakey around the nose area, however nothing noticeable. Despite dodgy online shade matching in the past, this foundation was a perfect shade match, and not at all orange. The coverage is nice, and buildable so if you want a more natural look, this product will work for you. This foundation doesn't go dry or cakey around dry spots, acne ect, and it made a nice smooth base, concealing any redness. All in all, I'm really happy with the product and will be repurchasing!

Fairly disappointed.
Very thin and watery. Needs to be built up and set with powder. Arrived with a damaged pump so I had to unscrew the lid and dab it on my blender sponge to apply. I normally use shade 125 in the e.l.f CC cream (KVD Good apple, shade 10 also) and was advised to buy shade Snow for this foundation but when applied realised this shade is far too light for me, it does dry slightly darker though. It does not last long without being set with powder (tested with and without). It does not slowly turn orange during wear but, unfortunately I've bought better foundations lately for about £4. Shake really well and expect light coverage.
