Works fine.
Thought it was faulty but it was my Westinghouse TV all along that wouldn't accepts all Blu Rays.

Nice compact machine
Bought to replace a Panasonic Blu-ray/Freeview recorder which had started freezing up after more than 10 years of heavy use. It's becoming quite hard to get a basic/budget DVD player made by a well-known brand - initially I tried an ultra budget Sony DVD player but that was incapable of playing my massive collection of home-burned DVD-R discs so it was returned for a refund. This machine handles them without complaint, although I've noticed the motor does give a rather disconcerting occasional "slipping" noise when playing any disc, but this doesn't impact what you are seeing on the screen.I'm probably a slightly unusual customer as I also make good use of the USB socket on the front to playback some home-generated MP4 files. Again, the machine does this well - although the interface to select the files is really clumsy. But what it can't handle - and I really don't understand why - is the MP4 video files created by my DJI drone. Very strange, because the 10-year-old Panasonic Blu-ray/Freeview recorder that this has replaced played them quite happily via its USB socket on the front. Why would a design more than 10 years old be able to handle H264/MP4 files from my drone but this one can't?

Fantastic Player.
I purchased this BluRay player so that we can watch more recent Region 2 Region B BluRay discs which our old Sony BluRay player did not recognise - which was becoming an annoying habit. This is a brilliant piece of Kit and very well priced. Gives a superb picture and the graphics look amazing too. Well worth considering if you need an extra player or just need to get started. Recommeded.

Basic but does the job
My Sony Blueray player finally gave up after 10 years. I only watch discs a couple of times a year and so didn't want to spend too much money on a replacement. This is good value, easy to setup, delivers a decent quality picture and sound. It is small making it easy to place. The downsides don't really matter to me but may affect some. Firstly to obtain network services you need to connect it via a Cat5 cable. There is no WiFi. Secondly the interface is clunky and chunky, think Windows 98. This player has been around for quite a while. Finally the remote control has one issue, the Netflix button is located just above the up navigation button and it is very easy to catch it. However overall I would recommend this player to the occasional user. It would also be perfect for a caravan or motor home.
