Texas Instruments TI84PLUS - Graphing Calculator USB technology-Blue/Silver

I ordered this calculator because I am starting a Maths degree with the Open University, and from what I have seen so far it is excellent and will be more than adequate for my needs. There are two cables supplied, one cable for connecting your calculator to another, and the other cable for connecting the calculator to a computer. It comes with bundled software on a DVD, and you should install the TI Connect software before you connect the calculator to your computer otherwise it might install the wrong device drivers. The TI Connect software is available in Macintosh and Windows versions, and is used to backup and restore data, install new applications, capture screen shots, edit data etc. An 80 page Getting Starting booklet is supplied, but you should also download the 400+ page guide on a pdf file from the Texas Instruments website which goes into a lot more details. The keyboard layout is quite easy to understand because most of the options are selected via menus on the large graphics screen, which can be navigated via the arrow keys or an individual item can be selected by pressing the matching numeric key. I would recommend this calculator to anyone considering higher education in Maths.

My daughter uses this for school. It was the model that she was advised to buy. I rang up customer services at the company selling this before I bought it to clarify a point and they were very helpful and polite. I think I rang up to see if it was available in purple and was informed yes- but only in the USA. Here, in the UK, the only color available is black. Delivery I think was very quick. My daughter has been using it for a few months now and is very happy with it. It is expensive for a calculator so obviously it is one of those items that you have to buy.

Requested by my daughters school for her further maths work, arrived on time, complete, undamaged, no problems with service at all. I take my daughter's word that she is very pleased with its' functionality. Does what it says on the tin.

Amazing Calculator. This version came with MathPrint pre-installed. So all I had to do was take it out of the box and start calculating.

Bought this calculator for senior year maths, including AP maths and further pure. Proved to be a great help for any graphs including polar. Even though instructions in the packet were not very clear, any help required could be found online. Quite user friendly. Would recommend it!!

Well, I bought this for my niece who goes to an American international school because she was required to buy this exact calculator for her grade 8 math. I just cannot believe school made 14y-o buy this overpriced device.

Theres so much you can use this for from simple arithmetic calculation to graphs and storing formulas and equations - it's a no brainer - brilliant.
