Root Riot - Pack of 24

I love these and used these for pumpkin plant seeds and these cubes are smashing. I bought 2 packs of 24 and ALL 48 total plants are off to a great start. They’re super spongey with great moisture retention, helped me grow some strong little plants very quickly. The root systems look awesome. I think I prefer this than the other potting mixes I’ve had, and these are also very easily transferable into bigger pots. I actually planted directly in the tray packaging they came in at first and have kept the trays to use again, as they’re pretty convenient for seedlings. I think this is ok for the price, it is more expensive than if you got a bag of potting mix for seedlings, but these are pretty convenient, easily transferable without harming the root systems, I love the spongeyness and I prefer these over coir disks and rockwool. Clean and easy to use. I decided to write a review as I’ve just gone and purchased my 3rd tray of these.

Quality product, bought many times, knocked one star off as did not arrive in plain packaging as advertised, just an address label stuck to front of bag

Work as they should. Very straightforward to use. Just take cutting dip in rooting gel/powder then into the plug. Roots in seven days with strong growth. Great value for money. Sturdy leaves and stems right the way through with no wilting.

This is our second year trying hydroponics tomatoes in our greenhouse. The first year we tried to use Rock wool that we had lying around and although that did the job it was not really ideal or a good option in hindsight. We found out about these after doing a bit of further research and have used them for the first time this year. Being well into the season these have turned out a really good buy and we would definitely use again next year and would happily recommend anybody who needs them either in soil or just water like our hydroponics.

I wish I tried these years ago. I loaded six seeds into cubes and within 24hrs, three seedlings were clear of their shells and the other three have germinated also. Simple, clean and very effective.

The product is great, however they could be more discreet with the packaging and put inside a box or something

Root riot are perfect for any one wishing to take cuttings simply and easily, with little fuss or hassle. I was wanting to take cuttings of my Golden jasmine and Salvia plants, I have successfully now grown 24 new cuttings of all my plants with the root riot tray and it worked perfectly. The squares of substrate are nicely make and feel quite spongy, but they hold their shape perfect and don't fall to pieces like I thought they might, they make a perfect growing medium for cuttings. As I don't have a green house i covered the tray with a clear plastic bag for the first month keeping the cubes damp with a hand held mister, they all took root and would defiantly recommend for any one who may not have room for doing things the old fashioned way.

Faisant de la culture hydroponique, j'avais besoin d'un support de germination qui tiennent le hors sol. Je suis avant tout impressionné par la qualité et l'efficacité du substrat organique. Il se tient bien, ne se délite pas, ne seche pas trop vite. Mais surtout la rapidité de germination est juste incroyable. On obtient des plantules très rapidement avec un bon système racinaire. Les semis ne monte pas et peuvent trouver le nécessaire dans le cube. Pour les boutures idem. J'ai fait germé des graines et bouturés mes plantes dans ces cubes, en extérieur et en intérieur, sous serre ou non, toujours avec de bons résultats. Pour l'année prochaine je ne realiserai mes semi QUE dans des root riot.

Lo he comprado como ayuda para sembrar menta de gato,no se si ha influido en algo(yo personalmente estoy seguro de que no)pero los brotes han salido(por cierto,si también tu as plantado menta de gato y no te salen,congela 2 veces las semillas y metelas luego en agua 6 horas,salen seguro).No obstante si vuelvo a plantar prescindire de este producto a ver si salen igual.

I have tried other brands and have great success. This brand for some reason does not work for me,Possibly retains too much moisture,Anything I started in these quickly died.
