Excellent! Love them!
I love the clarity of these and the quick focus; they are very easy to use and hold. I use my bins daily so they really need to be good all rounders and these are now the favourite of all four pairs owned. Just took these to the Dales and they were superb. Great for bird / nature watching. The image is brilliantly clear, would very much recommend and such a bargain price. I deliberated buying as was tempted to their superiors but struggle to see the difference when these more than adequately cover all that is required. Love them! The only downside, as previously mentioned, is the lens covers. All four are loose and these do prove rather trying to keep putting back on. Can't quite figure why Nikon make such a good quality pair of bins and then supply such losable covers! Will tolerate this however as they are a great item and I really enjoy using them. Next day delivery too - simply superb service Amazon.

Super value for money
Very happy with this - even after using a Nikon (which I consider only one-down from Swarovski). Robust. Optics excellent but eyepiece adjustment not so smooth. Cheap but effective neck band and pouch - which may be considered immaterial.

Beautiful binoculars very well made
I have to say how impressed with this pair of binoculars they are really easy to set up to your eyes once in use the focus happens fast and effectively, love the grip factor also and i cant complain about the price very reasonable and they do look more expensive than the purchase price, comes with a pucker case and with a neck strap to link to your binoculars overall lovely pair of binoculars I'd certainly recommend to others

Prostaff 5 12x50 BARGAIN Long distance viewing
I have a very good pair of Vanguard Endeavor Hoya lensed EDII 8x42 which I use for wild life and bird spotting but wanted as a back up a higher magnification pair for long distance viewing as I live in a very hilly area and wanted to see distances of 5 -15 miles up closer. I've tried various zoom and higher magnification binos which didn't suit and then after trawling through many options saw these 12x50 Prostaffs at a very good price -' like new but with a damaged box'. At first I was a little disappointed for the reasons many state - poor accessories and the eye cups were a little loose (nothing major) but enough to make me doubt them. I've tried them along side my others which have a brighter image in rainy dull conditions and then tried them in bright sunshine. They were very good and distances of 10-15 miles came in pretty clear - I was shocked. Field of view at 82m seemed fine to me - my 8's have 126m and it didnt seem much different. If you're are looking to use them for close viewing - forget it, 5m stated even though I got 3/4 ish metres wasn't particularly good but acceptable for a 12. They are very light - not much weight difference in the hand to my 8x42's and so didn't experience much shake. They feel very comfortable and well balanced and realise that Nikon sell on the quality of their lenses not all the fancy gubbins that go with it. The rubber body cover is a bit sticky and might get mucky pretty quickly but over all they are great value for what I paid - £124 ($150 ) instead of £199 ($245) I'm sure there are many better options but far more expensive but if you want a stand by and can get them at this sort of price then you have a bargain.

Brilliant piece of kit!
Sturdy, waterproof (Shetland!) Proof, clear, well designed, crisp, easy to use. Ordered lens covers from Opticron to enhance it all... Shame Nikon were not prepared to protect the polished glass with better quality covers. For the price, 10x50 Prostaff offers quality binoculars with flair. Have also added a decent neck strap for additional comfort when in the field.PS: the night vision 5 ⭐ is a bit cheeky, living at 60N (with very light nights!) yet they fare well in low/poor luminosity.Quality watching for a fraction of a price!

heavy binoculars
i found thes nikons quite heavy hard to hold for any length of time field of view was narrow i thought image clarity was ok but just not as good as prostaff 7s if i have leaned anything over the years with binoculars weights everything not sure of the weight of these feels like over 2lbs a bit cumbersome to hold idealy you want to be around 600 to 700 grams at most hope this helps
