Doobery
If you were to bump into my wife and ask about me, she’d tell you if you had an hour or so to spare that Duncurin is not the tidiest of persons. In fact, it has to be said, that she may even venture into stronger words. To be fair, her words would be nothing but the truth. More than this, many untidy folk can still find what they are looking for at pretty short notice. Duncurin has taken things to an entire new level, however, and can, mainly through the vehicle of untidiness, lose things of all shapes and sizes in spectacular fashion. For example, I am the man who had to sell his last car with the roof rails still attached because I couldn’t find the special little spanner that released them. The salesman told me, suddenly looking very worried, that they’d get them off – somehow. Then, how about the time when I couldn’t find the keys to the roofbox and was faced either with not going on holiday or leaving the kids at home – tempting. Thank heavens for a local locksmith who made new keys, I jest not, for me. I once even lost the spool of solder that I had been using for half an hour in the middle of a soldering job. In fact I can lose not just the little things like that special spanner that I need to screw the nozzle of the airbrush on with, nor the wonderful sliding ruler thingy that tells me what depth I am working to (or should be!) but also bigger things like set squares, my wonderful accurate pull saw and my specialty – my electric drill – mid project. Also, you know that doobery that one needs for doing that job without which it becomes hopeless or impossible – I lost that 3 weeks ago and am still looking for it. Sensing that my numerous faults are mounting, Duncurin is determined to seek change and I saw these wonderful bar magnets on Amazon. I had discovered a magnetic strip I think that came with a strip light and this had proven to be useful for retaining the little bits that go in my rechargeable mini-tool. The problem with the strip was that it easily became overloaded and then suddenly things that I’ll never be able to find again were shed everywhere. These bars are very strong – so much so I had difficulty separating them! Once separated they are easy to attach. I chose the edges of my shelves. They will retain beautifully and unswervingly anything of ferrous metal that I ask of them. Thus the spanner for my router, the special forstner bit that I use most frequently, mini bits and blades and saws – the list is only exceeded by the things I used to lose. They are also strong enough for heavy things such as saws and hammers. I have found a series of cup hooks screwed in strategic places are not bad for holding saws and this has been useful but things like set squares are hard to retain and thus soon lost or just not found by me. These magnets are perfect for retaining such set squares and have also forced some discipline on me where I actually start to tidy my much-abused garage and the words of Mary Poppins ringing in my ears – find a place for everything. These magnetic bars have helped enormously with this ongoing (ever-ongoing) task. Essential kit for those of you who are even remotely like me. Please find a couple of pics of my ongoing efforts.

Perfect product when sweeping chimney
Although I have used these in the past in the workshop to hang tools from, I purchased them this time for an alternative use. It’s that time of the year when the chimney for the woodburner needs swept. It’s a messy job if not done with care. I’ve used these magnets to attach a strong peice of polythene clear sheet to the front of the wood burner with. I bought two sets of three and have utilised the large and middle sized ones to fix the sheet in place (yellow side facing the burner). This holds the sheet firmly and I sweep through it with the rods and brush (brush attached to first rod and fed up flue pipe slightly prior to fixing sheet in place), keeping the mess inside the fire and not over the carpet. Excellent strength magnets used this way. Great price too.

Great value for some quick and compact tool organisation
I do like these, at £8 they are very good value I think. The product however could be improved upon. They can be attached to your wall by a screw put into each end of the strip. These ends where the screw holes are do not have any magnets and are an inch wide - this is pretty frustrating as you lose two inches of storage from each rail. Seems very unnecessary - could easily have just had half an inch space at each end. I also found the yellow branding a little tacky and jarring so I laid a length of black duct tape along the full length of each strip between the screw holes. This improves the aesthetic and also stops metal on metal contact from your tools on the rail. There is still plenty of magnetism to hold everything on. Another gripe I have is that round objects (like my punch that is on the far left of the smaller strip) get rolled along the strip to the pole of the magnet - not much of a big deal I guess if you have other tools along side them that hold them in place well. In my case though it meant the punch was quite close to the other tool next to it which with cold, clumsy fingers can make for a difficult selection.

attractive to metal things
missed out on last deal so bought a couple when they came back down so got 4 sets , good enough product and the different sizes enable you to put them in many different places with the smaller ones that some reviews said were not very useful but i found being able to fit into tight confined areas or 2 together was good they are strong enough to hold most small to medium sized tools, spanners, grips, wrenches etc but not largest of spanners or hammers , also anything that has plastic coating will slide until the metal part makes contact with the magnet, some reviews have said that yellow label sticky and difficult to remove, i don't think its supposed to be removed and only done for your personal preference but the ones on mine easily peeled off and any residue left vanished with a squirt of wd40

For the money these things are excellent, fantastic if your are building a tool wall in your shed or garage. Pair these with some wall mountable socket rails and have everything to hand. I’ve bought about 6 sets so far as my tool collection grows. Very strong magnets, you have to actually pull stuff of them, so no concerns about stuff falling off either. Go for it.

Space saver and life saver!
Great value for money, super simple to either screw into wall or use no more nails as I have done on a few because they're close to the electric box. As you can see from the images, holds a fair few tools. I bought 2 packs, really pleased - no more rummaging in tool box! Will be adding drill bits to the other bars yet to put up on wall. Save yourself space and time and buy these, my husband was dubious and I'm glad to have proved him wrong! They're amazing - the simple little thing's are the best.

Fast shipping, and the tools are exactly as described. They are strong enough to hang my heavy mortising chisels.

Nessun problema. I cacciaviti e le lime rimangono attaccate molto bene. Ho fatto prove con pinze, chiavi pappagallo e nessun problema sempre tenendo presente quanto detto prima.
