I originally got this for my husband to use in my car since he thinks the seats are uncomfortable, but he wasn't interested, so I've started using it instead. I got the black mesh version for maximum breathability & to match the interior of my car.It is very comfortable & thick, so I'm sitting up much higher now which has taken some getting used to. I noticed the difference within the first trip or two, my spine felt like it was decompressing & I wasn't having as many of my daily aches & pains. I also like that the cover can be removed for washing.The only downfall I've noticed so far is that the material isn't great for moving around on, i.e. sliding into position in the car.For the price, it's an excellent seat pad that could be used in the car, work or home depending on where your needs are.

It did help some with hip pain making it possible to sit for a little longer. I would of liked it a little bigger.

Exactly as advertised. We drove 4 hours today to Branson and kept my tailbone from hurting which that's exactly why I got it.

I was initially pleased with this cushion's comfort and support. However, after three months of regular use, it has significantly flattened and lost its effectiveness. As a larger individual weighing 340 lbs, I had hoped for better durability. While it may work well for lighter users, those with a similar build to mine might want to consider alternatives that can withstand more weight over time. I appreciate the initial comfort but wish it had maintained its shape and support for a longer period

I have lower back/tailbone issues, and found comfort using a similar pad - though softer - on my office chair. I purchased this initially to use on my car seat so my tush could be seated in blissful comfort throughout the day.It's a stiff memory foam, with a decent amount of height to it. Luckily my car seat is adjustable enough to make it work, otherwise you could be uncomfortably tall. However, memory foam in a cooler environment? Not a good idea - it was like sitting on a brick until it heated up, which could take a while. I gave up on this for a car seat and switched the pads, so it's now the new office cushion while the softer, shorter cushion is in the car. The combination helps a lot with my pain levels and keeping me comfortable through the day!Another reviewer mentioned a strong odor, opening it up, and a moldy growth - I opened mine immediately after reading that and found nothing of the sort, it's a typical memory foam odor on a clean cushion.The top fabric is a soft velvety type that will most likely collect pet fur, but it also zips off for washability.

I have disk/nerve issues in my lumbar and cervical spine thanks to terrible drivers who decided I needed to be run into in multiple accidents, thus causing multiple concussions and the need for ongoing therapy. I need extra cushioning on my office chair, so I purchased a two-pack of these cushions in hopes that they'd do the trick.They're well made and arrived quickly (thanks, Amazon!) and exhibit a level of quality far greater than what I expected. But the memory foam compresses far too much for them to serve their intended purpose. I'm not the same weight I was when I was a model in the 1980s (who is?), but I'm no tub of lard, either. Still, my fanny compresses these down to pancakes (not literally, but you get the gist) and my fanny hurts.As I type this review, I'm sitting on both of the cushions, which have compressed way down and just are not very comfortable.I did discover that they work better for me if I turn them around 180 degrees, so that the cut-outs are in front, not the back, but they're still providing insufficient padding in general.If you weigh very little and won't compress these much, perhaps they'd be right for you. But they're too compressable for my needs, their overall quality notwithstanding.EDIT 5-29-19: I purchased a new chair (on Amazon) and am having a bit better luck with these cushions on top of the new chair's seat than I did on the old chair. I have raised the review to 4 Stars, as I am achieving a bit more comfort now than I did, but I stand by my earlier statements about these cushions compressing more than I wish they did.
