Saves Money, Makes Great Yoghurt.
I love really useful products that are so blissfully simple to use. I'm not sure why similar manufacturers overcomplicate things by adding LCD clocks and timers etcetera? Just mix UHT milk in a large jug with a small pot of live yoghurt, pour it into the glass jars, screw the lids on, and press the start switch. That's it! Six hours later you've got seven pots of delicious, thick, fresh, live, healthy yoghurt. You can use fresh milk instead of UHT, but then you have to boil the milk in a pan first so why bother? I 'sacrifice' the 7th pot by using it as the live cultures for my next batch of seven, which is why I went for the 14 jar set. So all it costs for an unlimited and never-ending supply of great tasting live yoghurt is the price of the milk. It even works with skimmed milk, but will set slightly thicker with semi-skimmed, and thicker still with full fat milk. So you can even choose how healthy you want to be!If you want to add fruit or your own flavours, remember to only add them once the yoghurt has chilled and set in the fridge, not before you make the yoghurt in the machine. I like it natural, but sometimes chop up pieces of fruit which are getting a bit soft or over-ripe. I rarely rave about products, but this machine makes great tasting yoghurt for pennies a pot AND saves having to throw out over-ripe produce. Plus the fact that it only uses 13 watts of power means it's eco-friendly and costs next to nothing while it's working. I thoroughly recommend this product.

Excellent! but use the right starter...
I wanted individual pots instead of one big pot of yogurt as my kids can help themselves, its just the right amount for a serving and each pot stays fresh. This yogurt maker has 14 glass jars, lids and mine did include a recipe book. (and it has a normal plug) Its good quality though how long it will last probably depends on how quickly the jars get dropped!Initially thought it wasn't working properly (using Onken yogurt & UHT full fat milk) as the yogurt was too watery and second batch was a disaster. BUT then tried Rachels organic yogurt starter & UHT full fat milk and its been fantastic ever since. I just use two teaspoons of the previous batch mixed with a litre of UHT full fat milk to start the next batch. It takes around 8 hours. I haven't had to buy new yogurt for months. The yogurt tastes so much better than bought - very much smoother without that sharp tangy taste.I love it and highly recommend it!

Element stopped working after 9 months - infrequent use
As a few other reviewers have said, this product is great and works very well, easy to use ... while it lasts. I only used mine probably 10 times in total - once a month on average since purchasing it - and it has stopped heating. The light still comes on so I wasn't aware of this and left it on for over 8 hours yesterday for nothing. Will try to contact manufacturer, but it is expense and hassle I wasn't expecting after so few times using it. Another issue I've had is that the lids don't seem to stay on the jars very well, so before I learnt this I picked one up by the lid and it fell to the floor, cracking the jar.

Great Product!
Arrived quicker than expected, although packaging could have been more secure as box was damaged, fortunately the item was okay.I have made a few batches of homemade yogurt with great success and is really creamy, with a mild tangy flavour. I used Asda 1 Ltr long life whole milk, 1 pot of 175 grm of Yeo full fat yogurt with live cultures, it's a small green pot. Also 1 teaspoonful of asda dried semi skimmed milk powder in each pot.Make sure milk is at room tempreture. I put 2 teaspoonful of the Yeo yogurt (which is your starter) in each pot, along with 1 tsp of dried milk. Add the milk to the pot and mix thoroughly, you can add sweetner should you wish. Put the jars in your Yogurt Maker, but leave the lids off and put the outer lid/cover on. Then switch the Yogurt Maker on. I put a tea towel over the yogurt maker to keep the heat in. I found it worked a treat by starting it at 10.00 pm and finding the yogurt nicely set at 8 am. Let your yogurts cool before putting them in your fridge for at least 4 hours. Do not use low fat milk as it will end up being runny. Don't forget to save one of your yogurts to start your next batch.

Stopped working after 2 months
Easy to use and worked well for about 2 months... then it stopped heating at all and could not work anymore... I woke up thinking I’d have nice yogurts for the day and found the milk cold and yogurts not made...Waste of money, do not buy.

Simple, effective but frustrating to wash.
This is a simple and effective yogurt making machine, useful for a large family or for those who like to have their own pot and not dig into a larger receptical.I have found that the yogurt can be set within 4 hours, when made from warm milk and left over yogurt from the previous batch. There is no timer but the hour marker on the plastic top is used to remind you when you started. So I can make a tea time and it is done before I go to bed, so I put in fridge for breakfast.Sometimes I mix with yogurt and Skyr.. and makes mild smooth yogurt for a fraction of the cost. I litre makes 7 pots. However, my big bug bear with this system are the pots as they are not easily rinsed out or cleaned, as the bottom and top edges are curved. You have to wash with a sponge on all surfaces. Also, if you part fill with water, and replace the lid to shake wash.. the messy water sprays out as the pots do not seal.. who product tested these??Otherwise they are glassbut simple straight sides would have given higher score.
