Gets the job done fast! Updated
The media could not be loaded. Well after several months of research I took another shot and bought this pump. Today, May 11th 2019, was my first day of its use and it works flawlessly!!! I was shocked at how fast and hard it got the paddle boards pumped up! (Im sure there is a joke in there somewhere but...) I will update my review after each use to let people know the life of my pump. So many reviews give it a 5 stars out of the gate but where are they now 2 years later?6/7/2020 update. My pump is going strong. Used it today to fill my 2 ten foot paddle boards!!!

Good pump
Handy product with a lot less work than hand pumps. Working great still after a few trips, must be plugged into car, the wall converters do not work.

Low quality pump
Where I bought this there were many people mentioning the time it takes to fill an SUP so I purchased an inexpensive AIRHEAD air pump. This fills the SUP up with air to about 0.9PSI.Then I connect the Seamax pump to get up to 15 PSI.This strategy works well.My issues: The Seamax is loud. To take the SUP from 0.9 to 15 PSI takes about 15 minutes, which was expected. But you need ear plugs or just walk away while it runs. The rubber pads on the bottom of the pump will stain your SUP. Don't set this on your SUP or you'll have 4 suction cup stains on your SUP.The pump is low quality. It worked well the first 2 times I used it. Same day, filled 2 SUPs then didn't use it again for about 4 weeks. In that time I stored it in my garage. The next time I tried to use the pump it wouldn't turn over. I hand pumped the SUPs that day.Several days later I tried the pump again and it still wouldn't rotate the pump. I could hear the electric motor trying but the pump was stuck.Using my lungs I blew air backward into the pump. This moved the piston enough that the electric motor could get it moving and keep moving. So now I have to give the pump a little blow job every time I want to use it.It does require a high amp 12V port. I blew the fuse in my boat and had to make an adapter to put on the battery directly.Overall I don't recommend this pump. I'm looking at getting an adapter to a schreader valve (bike tire) and use an automatic car tire inflator

It works. Not Fast but it did handle the high pressure
Timed it just under 15 minutes to get this board to 15 psi. You can hear it auto switch from stage one to 2. Also You need to have the vehicle running, which might not be obvious to all. I thought it would be a little faster, I can hand pump it in 10-12 minutes, but it did save me the hassle and sweat as we have 2 boards. As long as it doesn't crap out in a month, I'm happy.

Great value for money and huge time saver
We've been using inflatable kayaks for the past few months and the entire process of pumping them up before a day on the water was TOUGH. Our backs would be sore and we'd be incredibly sweaty (Arizona) - it really wasn't a good start to what was supposed to be a relaxing day. After a bunch of research, I settled on the SeaMax - it was reasonably priced and had some pretty good reviews, although a few bad ones. We have been incredibly pleased with it!We can pump both kayaks in about 20 minutes - it only takes that long because there are so many chambers and we have to change out the attachment a bunch. After 6 uses, it has never overheated on us, unlike some of the other reviews.I gave 4/5 stars for ease of use, because it can be a bit of trial and error on which attachment and O-Ring to use (we rented a bunch of times so the boats weren't always the same), but now that we've purchased, that won't be an issue!

Took about 10 minutes to inflate my board to the recommended 15 psi
Fresh out of the box the product worked as desired/expected. Took about 10 minutes to inflate my board to the recommended 15 psi; shut off automatically and the 15 psi setting was stored in pump memory for next use. Used the alligator clips, and adaptor provided, hooked up to car battery. Yes, 10 minutes is about the same time it would take to inflate by pump but, obviously, without physical effort on my part. This is what will allow my wife to take our board out and not need my assistance. Additionally, the board felt more firm which tells me maybe I wasn't getting a full 15 psi by pump, despite the pump's gauge reading. Did not find noise of operation to be an issue. Only 4 stars for now as the cynic in me needs to learn the longevity of this pump/brand, as so many others seem to have problems/short life spans.Update: After having used this pump, several times now, I'm boosting my rating to 5 stars and am very happy with its performance. For those who ask if the Seamax pump will work with their particular brand of board--it's not the manufacturer of your board to consider but the valve connection. Take a look at the hose connection from your inflation hand pump; if it's the same as the connection on the Seamax then it should work just fine.

Takes forever
This thing takes FOREVERRR. It’s very loud and takes so long I popped a fuse in my car blowing up my paddle board, once I get to 5psi it struggles so bad. I’ve never had it get to 15PSI cuz I get impatient and scared to pop another fuse. I’m kinda disappointed in it.

Works well so far - inflates to 15 PSI
This works for me! I have used it probably about 10 times with no issues. It does seem to inflate less quickly now after a few uses - it takes about 15 minutes to inflate to 15 PSI but it is so worth it! I can get everything else ready while it is inflating and it automatically shuts off when done. This has been a HUGE benefit because I am less tired and have more energy to actually paddle when I don't have to pump up the board manually. I highly recommend this pump - it does what it is supposed to and it just works. No problems for me with the connection or the hose so far. I plan to keep it inside over the winter.
