Play tunes early on
The good thing about the book is that there are tunes you can play early on in their learning so acts as an incentive to learn more.

Missing stickers not easily replaced
The book looks great, but didn't come with stickers so limits it somewhat. Don't want to go through hassle of returning it so looked for replacements. It seems like the colours used in this book aren't standard so not easy to replace.

Bought 3 for our grandchildren. I have played both ...
Bought 3 for our grandchildren. I have played both piano and keyboard for a number of years now. This book is very colourful...and atractive with excercises. For the younger child aged 5 onwards...the stickers within the book to place upon a keyboard for note guidence, will require an adult, to read through the instructions - in order to place them upon the correct keys. A little one to one... may bring rewards for the younger child to tap out simple tunes...with the help of colour coded stickers, that will help a beginner adult even at first. As when you progress through the book - it deals with auto accompliment - i.e (how to play along with your own backing band) with a suitably equipped K/B...but that will require cordination; as You'll need to practice with the right hand melody without auto accompliment -(Treble Clef) - in hitting the right notes and basically counting correctly the RH/Melody note values/timing )...then LH WITHOUT accompliment (practice going through cord/and finger spans).Afterwards practice/SLOWLY building up the tempo counting with the auto accompliment on with Left hand only. eventually depending upon practice, etc. slowly building up tempo- with both hands together. The book may provide a stepping stone...into a treasure chest of songs available in other music books. Hope this has been of help.

Perfect
Bought for my friend, who is 26 but as I was buying him his first keyboard - thought this would be fun and simple for him as a beginner. He said it was brilliant and the stickers for the keys were extremley helpful. Highly recommended for adults and children alike!

Assumes your keyboard has auto-chords/accompaniment.
just ok... It has some useful stuff in it and the stickers alone are worth the price, but it makes some huge assumptions about the abilities of the keyboard you own - not least that it has 'auto accompaniment' (auto 1 key chords). If your keyboard doesn't have these then roughly half of the book is useless. Most Casio keyboards in the UK do not come with auto accompaniment so you are likely to be disappointed.

Must buy for beginners
Incredible. Stickers included worth the buy in itself. The music is colour coded to the coloured stickers so the child can read the notes and follow colours. Really built up daughters confidence. Recommend for any beginner. Thank you

Great for kids.
Great book, helping my step son read music and he loves it. It is colour coded aswell to stickers to put on the keys. I recommend it, I can read music and I feel as if I'm not needed anymore!
